There is a place in Minnesota with hundreds of miles of glacial lakes and untouched forests called the Boundary Waters. Ten years ago a man and his son trekked into this wilderness and never returned. Search teams found their campsite ravaged by what looked like a bear. They were presumed dead until a decade later...the son appeared. Discovered while ransacking an outfitter store, he was violent and uncommunicative and sent to a psychiatric facility. Maya Stark, the assistant language therapist, is charged with making a connection with their high-profile patient.

The reader talks too fast and the sentences run together. Several times I had to stop and go back to catch what she was saying. Story was just okay. wish I hadn't wasted a credit on it.

Working the graveyard shift as a waitress, single mother Jessie Mann has no time to waste on a Texan with big dreams and a skinny wallet. And that’s just what she sees when Jack Morrison ambles into the diner where she works. After a childhood of financial instability, Jessie swore she’d do better by her son. But with Christmas just around the corner, saying no to Jack and his cowboy good looks is easier said than done.

This was cute but very predictable love story. The narrator's southern/Texas accent was awful. Ridiculous southern drawl.

I struggled to decipher which character was speaking. The reader did not change her inflection enough to tell when one character stopped speaking and another began. I love Cassandra Claire's storytelling but I will not be investing in the audio version again. Very repetitive also. Every line ends with he said/she said. Not her best book. definitely not Jace and Clary. And I feel like she tends to be a bit pushy with the same sex couples. I get it, Love Wins and all that but it felt very forced. Like she felt the need to balance a straight couple with a gay couple. She trys very hard to include everyone all the time which ends up taking away from the main couple and /or storyline.
