Detective Lara Mendes's hard work finally pays off when she gets the chance to join the homicide detail. There's only one catch; she has to partner up with a cop no one wants to work with. John Gallagher is a veteran homicide detective who loves stomping bad guys and hates partners. When the Lieutenant saddles him with this green kid named Mendes, his first reaction is to ditch her but a call comes in about a body on the river bank and the rotation says they're up.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Overall, I thought that the characters were well developed and the plot moved along at a fast pace. There were a few plot issues that I had involving Lara and John. Namely, they had intimate knowledge that their safety was at issue, but they still investigated alone. The cliffhanger ending was a highlight for me, as it leaves the possibilities open for the next book in the series. I would recommend this book to readers who are a fan of police procedural thrillers with a paranormal twist.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Personally, I am a fan of a cliffhanger ending as it lets your mind go to the possibilities.

Which character – as performed by Bob Barton – was your favorite?

John Gallagher

Was Bad Wolf worth the listening time?

Yes, it was entertaining and a good way to spend my time.

Any additional comments?

I found this book to be interesting and entertaining, although I did have some issues with plot choices. I am curious to see where the author takes John Gallagher into the future, as his character continues to grow and change.
