Where does Neverwhere [Adaptation] rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Just behind Alien Out of the Shadows. Being an alien Geek, I know my opinion is not very objective. Well, if I forget the Aliebn series (drama, novelisations), this is a first on the podium.

What other book might you compare Neverwhere [Adaptation] to and why?

With nothing. This is a gret standalone.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

All of them. Great actors, great accents, great voices.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

There is another world next to you.

Any additional comments?

Fully enjoyed the drama. Will listen again (many times).

Mara, a painter, lives in a quirky artist community in downtown Buffalo, and though she loves her roommates like family, she has always felt alone. But, each night, a sexy, dark-haired woman haunts her dreams, dreams that almost help her forget the betrayal and pain she's suffered in her life. She paints to block out the bad memories, and in every painting, the woman from her dreams - as if by magic - appears.

What did you like best about A Dark and Stormy Knight? What did you like least?

The first chapters.

What was most disappointing about Bridget Essex’s story?

It very quickly becomes a romance story, the intrigue is NOT surprising.

What about Maria Marquis’s performance did you like?

M. Marquis is a great performer. But being "husky voiced" every time there is a supernatural character does not work for me anymore.

Was A Dark and Stormy Knight worth the listening time?

Yes and no. Yes because I wanted female heroines, no because the story is not surprising (I cannot write more because I do not wish to spoil anything.) Too much "erotic scenes" without any justification, too few pàsychological ("deep")moments.

Any additional comments?

Interesting for young adults needing hero(ine) models. Not what I was looking for.

In this suspenseful audiobook from the number-one New York Times best-selling author Mary Higgins Clark, a Manhattan ER doctor is brazenly murdered in front of his young son in a city playground. Five years later, his killer is still at large. Meanwhile his widow, Laurie Moran, is now an award-winning TV producer. Still haunted by her husband's murder, she has been raising their son alone. Laurie and her TV crew have just received the green light to produce a new cold-case series.

Would you try another book from Mary Higgins Clark and/or Jan Maxwell?

Well, I would, because it's M. H. Clark, with or without any co-writer. But I am slightly disappointed with the way the intrigue was developped.

Has I've Got You Under My Skin turned you off from other books in this genre?

Obviously, my answer is: No (see above).

Which character – as performed by Jan Maxwell – was your favorite?

All of them. The reader is excellent.

Did I've Got You Under My Skin inspire you to do anything?

Yes. Buying P.D.James audiobooks.

Any additional comments?

Mary Higgins Clark is a great writer. I enjoyed the audiobook, but, whatever the excellent performance by Ms. Maxwell, I need stories that are a bit more intricate.
