Starship engineer Anailu Xindar dreamed of owning her own ship, but she didn't find the courage to actually go for it until she was forced out of her safe, comfortable job. She goes shopping for a cheap, practical freighter, but she ends up buying a rare, beautiful, but crippled luxury ship. Getting it into space will take more than her technical skills. She'll have to go way outside her comfort zone to brave the dangers of safaris, formal dinners, a rude professor, and, worst of all, a fashion designer. She may even have to make some friends...and enemies.

One of the few books I love listening several times. The depiction of events and characters never gets boring, always fresh and interesting every time.

Looking forward to the next addition, too bad it takes so long. Kate the kick ass mercenary pregnant! this is going to be very interesting. Also Curran the super sized Lion what is up with that? I gave the story a 4, due to an excessive introspection on Kates inadequacies.

If you could sum up Lord of War in three words, what would they be?

Awesome voice for narration of story.

What did you like best about this story?

The premise, medieval world, the hero and the lady.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Dorse’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first Daniel Dorse's performance, which wowed me; and lead me to other books, he narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted too, but life and physical need for sleep, interfered.

Any additional comments?

K.L. is a very good writer, held my attention, without the great writing no amount of excellent narration can salvage the book. For this audio book the combination of K.L. and D.D. was awesome.
