Once you start to get beyond the beginner level, it gets really hard to find material that is not too easy. I found the level 5 to be perfect for an intermediate learner. I will go through all of the lessons a couple times more... I SO wish they would do higher levels... but in the mean time, thanks Pimsleur!

What did you love best about Michel Thomas Beginner Arabic, Lesson 1?

Good introduction for absolute beginners like me. I especially liked Mahmoud and Janes's interventions/explanations of the origins of certain words.

Any additional comments?

I really did not like this teaching method of sharing the class with two other 'students'. At first, I thought it was a clever idea but then found it distracting and annoying to have to wait for their answers. Also, often, when Jane was asking to repeat something, I did not have time to press 'pause' to think of my answer, one of the two students already was starting to answer and spoil it for me. hahaha. I felt like the two other students were waisting my time.

Where does Collins Spanish with Paul Noble - Learn Spanish the Natural Way, Part 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Paul Noble series is perfect for getting a good base/refresher course in Spanish before moving on to more advanced courses.

What other book might you compare Collins Spanish with Paul Noble - Learn Spanish the Natural Way, Part 1 to and why?

I listened to all the parts : 1, 2, 3 and 4. Then moved directly to Pimsleur, spanish phase 4... but I might have an advantage because I have been to Mexico for almost a year as a child so although my spanish was quite rusty, I still had a nice base. I just needed to brush it up a little.

Which scene was your favorite?

I like that there is no music, no 'trying' to entertain with phoney conversations. Just basic, right to the point spanish!
