The Courage to Be Disliked, already an enormous best seller in Asia with more than 3.5 million copies sold, demonstrates how to unlock the power within yourself to be the person you truly want to be. Using the theories of Alfred Adler, one of the three giants of 20th-century psychology, The Courage to Be Disliked follows an illuminating conversation between a philosopher and a young man. The philosopher explains to his pupil how each of us is able to determine our own life, free from the shackles of past experiences, doubts, and the expectations of others.

On a foggy summer night, 11 people - 10 privileged, one down-on-his-luck painter - depart Martha's Vineyard on a private jet headed for New York. Sixteen minutes later the unthinkable happens: The plane plunges into the ocean. The only survivors are Scott Burroughs - the painter - and a four-year-old boy who is now the last remaining member of an immensely wealthy and powerful media mogul's family.

Too long ...choppy and not well written. Too many cliches and a so-so ending. Find something else.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

The movie inspired me to buy the audio book for my long drive. My husband and I both enjoyed it for it's detail and graphic descriptions. It motivated us to watch the movie again. Well worth it.

I enjoyed the book on my long drives and looked forward to "what comes next". Better than a lot of "whodunits!" A great look into two of the most amazing companies launched in the last 10 years and a real representation of the man behind them. If you love the Tesla and what it's doing for e-cars or are fascinated by the future and what's to come and the amazing, difficult and conflicted people bringing it to us - get the book and enjoy the ride.

I loved this book! It changed my life. I had a lot of indigestion issues that could not be explained. I happened upon this book for idle listening on my long drives and was amazed at how much of it related to me. I'm on a regular probiotic rich diet now and with just some small changes feel a lot better and don't have to worry about my erratic digestion.
