Story is good, Richard Fox is entertaining and I enjoyed the Ember War series. this one is good too but finding these to be short. feels like a credit should last longer than 6 hours.

Really really enjoy Joshua Gayou's books. Haven't been disappointed with a signle one. His building of the individual characters, integrating realistic dialogue and action is all done really well.

What can we say about RC Bray? He is my favorite narrator of all and I've listened to hundreds of books. I used to think that Kevin Peirce had a lock on the top slot but that was before I was introduced to RC. Both of these amazing narrators really bring the stories to life with their unique audio depiction of the characters. RC is currently my favorite. It says a lot when a listener chooses audiobooks based on the narrator... really says a lot.

In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

Things are good at first; scavenging is a workable, short-term solution that seems to be providing all they need. But they know that it’s only a matter of time before the food runs out. They need to scramble to find a sustainable solution before the clock stops, and for a little handful of people up in the mountains, the odds don’t seem very favorable.
