This story is a mystery and romance combination with a bit of religious belief thrown in. Barbara Rosenblat is always an excellent narrator, but the story is way too wordy and the reader can get bored waiting for the next course of action. Worth the credit, but you'll need to be patient throughout the book.

I listened to the entire story and like it - a tale of how childhood trauma shapes our adult visions of ourselves. But I got tired of the extended sex scenes that began in the first chapter. I won't buy buy any additional volumes in the series. But if you love too much sex, know yourself out!

I was looking forward to the conclusion of the murder mystery in this series. Too bad I had to skip thru the continual distraction of inane sex to the to the meat of the story. Otherwise, I liked the narration and storyline.

I think this story might have been salvageable. However, with the performance and the story together, it is difficult to connect with either of the main characters. While our hero is obviously on the autism spectrum, and understandable with that understanding, and the heroine is somewhat believable, the combination of the two (without translation) leaves the listener with the inability to connect with either one. Couldn't get thru the entire story. Not worth the money or credit. Change the narration or change the story and do it again.

While the story is fairly well written, and the narrators are good; the main characters in the book don't finish their story.... you have to read the rest of the series. I must admit that the memories revealed by the main character made my heart hurt and stomach clench. The reader does become somewhat invested in finding out how the trauma of one child affects the rest of the family members. I'm just not invested enough to get the rest of the series.

The story of famous models and pulled them up by the bootstrap guys. It would be an average read, except that the narrator is too monotone and will put you to sleep. I forced myself to listen to the entire book. The storyline starts out weak but gets better. However, the narration never improveds. Recommend you read the book rather than listen to this version.

While I usually really enjoy Sebastian York as a narrator, I did not like this story or narration. It took way too long to get to any points of interest. It's not really worth your credit or price to listen to this program - and I am a very lenient listener. Don't buy this particular book or it will put you to sleep. I'll try the next one.

The first half of the book is one long boring sex scene, the second half has plot, but way too much repetition. The narrator, Luke Daniels, distinguishes voice and emotion by mostly yelling the lines. I was initially attracted to the story because the subject of energy healing on wounded seals sounded cool. I was so disappointed I am returning the book - I don't do this too often. Not really worth your credit. Try the series that starts with "Prince Joe" about a Seals team instead.
