The murder of a woman from one of the town's oldest families has Rosedale's upper crust howling for blood, and the prosecutor is counting on Ruby's inexperience to help him deliver a swift conviction. Ruby's client is a college football star who has returned home after a career-ending injury, and she is determined to build a defense that will stick. She finds help in unexpected quarters from Suzanne, a hard-charging attorney armed to the teeth, and Shorty, a diner cook who knows more than he lets on.

Maybe not the worst book I have listened to ...but out of 500 it’s in the bottom five. You people... I mean book publisher....author.... narrator.... you know southerners don’t sound like that right? Right? The writing. Editing. Colloquializzzums...are soooo bad. The plot twists.....are absent. Maybe its a parody...like a non funny snl skit that gives u a wtf moment. Future internet tv show? And all the five star ratings to offset the bad reviews ....are they real? The positives? Liberal cumbayaaah leanings are cool....maybe this is like a fundraiser book thrown together in one week? Well...I am obviously flabbbergasteddd that this book could get published much less audibleddd.... the level of sophistication...is about 7th grade.... and if this was written by his 7th grade granddaughter...not bad and I apologize. Otherwise. The author. The publisher. The narrator. And audible Amazon should apologize.

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Evil democrats and Muslims and liberals and evil gun haters gettin what they deserve. LOL. I somehow haven gotten on the religious right wing book list. Wayyy too much editorializing but I like to c what “they” are reading. This one....good premise good story good voice... but inappropriate and not well integrated conservative rants that downgraded a dang good story. Still entertaining. THE protagonist is clever as FOX. I’m surprised his name wasn’t Rannity instead of Reese.

It's been five years since Carter Blake parted ways with the top-secret government operation Winterlong. They brokered a deal at the time: he'd keep quiet about what they were doing, and in return he'd be left alone. But news that one of Blake's old allies is dead, a man who agreed to the same deal, means only one thing: something has changed and Winterlong is coming for him.

To all appearances, Dan Chase is a harmless retiree in Vermont with two big mutts and a grown daughter he keeps in touch with by phone. But most 60-year-old widowers don't have multiple driver's licenses, savings stockpiled in banks across the country, and a bugout kit with two Beretta Nanos stashed in the spare bedroom closet. Most have not spent decades on the run.

Nick Woods and your favorite members of S3 (Marcus, Truck, and Red) plunge back into action again. This time he and his team are deployed to Afghanistan, where the Taliban is poised to seize the capital city of Kabul and take over the country for good. The Taliban is well led by an impressive spiritual warrior, and, making matter worse, America's political leadership is sick of investing men and resources into a war that's now lasted 15 years.

Really entertaining. I woke up several times over the last few days around 4 AM actually looking forward to listening for a couple of hours before getting up and going to work. I think he has a jack reacher type series here. The lead character is a little younger, a little less sane very smart but sometimes undone by his own emotions. Just a roller coaster ride every time you open one of these books. Fans of reacher, grey man man and victor the assassin swill love these.

We'll I DID IT. joined the other 53 Americans...now 54 that have finished level 5.! Level five is difficult. Lordy...if they gave us one more word for WAS.... Or would. I likely will repeat level 3 and 5 (level 4 was made for American spies posing as businessmen and they simply sold it as the next level.) and begin the Spanish easy reader series.

Anyway level 5 is great. You become more ...much more proficient at utilizing future past and present tenses. I know I can communicate if I go to Sud or central America or Mexico and will b able to understand si hablan despacio. My accent is really goooood(Andy Griffith gooooood)too good. Really...lol... la gente quiere mas......but the vocabulary es pequeño.

Again once finished....assuming you can't go to a Spanish speaking pais.... More vocabulary via reading and llistening(Destinos)plus repeating three and five will take you to the next level. In my humble opinion...pimsleur is the best. I really tried Rosetta. Tried 123 tried babel. No comparison...if your goal is to start speaking....and not simply repeating the high school Spanish experience...try it. You will be able to order dos XX CERVESA in no time.
