We're all spiritual beings with a spiritual support system on the Other Side that oversees and helps guide our lives from the moment we're born to the moment we leave our physical bodies and return to Spirit. Not knowing this fact is a severe handicap, as the Universe is designed to care for and nurture all its creatures and help make our life's journey easier and more successful.

Practicing the exercise allowing guides to come through while writing.

What did you learn from Ask Your Guides that you would use in your daily life?

Calling on archangels and the ministry of angels. Her presentations of angels and archangels are very different than those of fearful angels in the biblical traditions. She presents them as all loving and kind. According to her, angels love to be called upon because by helping us they serve god, and they themselves evolve.

Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....

I really enjoyed it. It was well worth listening. I liked learning about the Bonobo apes and how they are very similar to us; especially in comparison to other apes. I really enjoyed the author's voice. The author elaborates clearly regarding the sexual practices and customs of various tribes of people. I learned a lot about anthropology, culture and history from this audiobook.

From the author of the groundbreaking New York Times bestseller The Female Brain, here is the eagerly awaited follow-up book that demystifies the puzzling male brain.

Dr. Louann Brizendine, the founder of the first clinic in the country to study gender differences in brain, behavior, and hormones, turns her attention to the male brain, showing how, through every phase of life, the "male reality" is fundamentally different from the female one. Exploring the latest breakthroughs in male psychology and neurology with her trademark accessibility and candor, she reveals that the male brain:

*is a lean, mean, problem-solving machine. Faced with a personal problem, a man will use his analytical brain structures, not his emotional ones, to find a solution.

*thrives under competition, instinctively plays rough and is obsessed with rank and hierarchy.

*has an area for sexual pursuit that is 2.5 times larger than the female brain, consuming him with sexual fantasies about female body parts.

*experiences such a massive increase in testosterone at puberty that he perceive others' faces to be more aggressive.

The Male Brain finally overturns the stereotypes. Impeccably researched and at the cutting edge of scientific knowledge, this is a book that every man, and especially every woman bedeviled by a man, will need to own.

Praise for The Female Brain:
"Louann Brizendine has done a great favor for every man who wants to understand the puzzling women in his life. A breezy and enlightening guide to women and a must-read for men."
—Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence

Come on. Admit it. He may not be that into you, but were you ever really that into him? He was never "the one", but you lowered your standards and dated him in the meantime. Why? For any number of reasons: you were lonely, you were horny, you thought dating him was better than being alone, all your friends are getting married, you name it. And before you knew it, you got hung up on the jerk. Go figure.
