Behind the seemingly innocuous facade of St. Mary's Institute of Historical Research, a different kind of academic work is taking place. Just don't call it time travel - these historians investigate major historical events in contemporary time. And they aren't your harmless eccentrics either; a more accurate description, as they ricochet around history, might be unintentional disaster magnets.

I really enjoyed the story! I got hung up on a few things like calling utility poles, telephone poles and some of the tactical decisions they made didn't make sense but then I'm retired military and police officer so I pick movies apart also.
If you're going to have multiple narrators why don't males do the male voices and females do the female voices. The it's done did not make sense and at times was confusing. I still look forward to book 2.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

I'm 62 and retired from the Air Force. In the 70's I spent a total of 3 years at Clark AB. This book moved me to tears several times as my mind related to the past. Every year in New Mexico there is an event called The Bataan Memorial Death March. A 26 mile march that I have participated in the past 5 years. This year at mile 16, I suffered a heart attack. My life was saved by 6 Army nurses who were a few steps behind me. As my eyes well up, I cannot help but think of the correlation between my angels and the Angels of Bataan..
