A mesmerizing, behind-the-scenes business thriller that chronicles how Sega, a small, scrappy gaming company led by an unlikely visionary and a team of rebels, took on the juggernaut Nintendo and revolutionized the video-game industry. In 1990, Nintendo had a virtual monopoly on the video-game industry. Sega, on the other hand, was just a faltering arcade company with big aspirations and even bigger personalities. But all that would change with the arrival of Tom Kalinske, a former Mattel executive who knew nothing about video games and everything about fighting uphill battles.

It was so excellent that I had to purchase a physical hard copy to take extensive notes and have ease of access with specific details. The information on food and supplements is possibly more vital than the workouts themselves. I struggle with my food cravings and tend to overeat often. After this read, it's been an excellent change!

Pastor Creflo Dollar offers 10 compelling reasons why God hates religion - but loves for people to have real relationships with Christ. Religion has broken churches, fueled wars, and driven people away from the true Gospel of Jesus. Why I Hate Religion is a clarion call for people to ditch religion and embrace relationship.

I am not a Creflo Dollar hater. Many people hang him on a noose from a tree with a sign around his neck, "I live up to my last name!" This is so far from the truth! God has empowered him to bring the gospel from a strong teaching standpoint which is what Dr. Dollar allows himself to do. I learned A LOT from this audiobook and found humor in the truth about the current climate of churches. If you desire a closer relationship with God in Jesus Christ, I say tithe for this offer. This is one that will be on repeat for quite sometime.

Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To do so, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now.

Listening to the rise of Amazon.com and the tenacity of its founder Jeff Bezos, I learned several things:

1. There is no such thing as multitasking. Jeff Bezos always positioned employees to prioritize and focus on one prime objective.
2. Go big or don't go at all. Even if you have to break assignments down into smaller chunks, it should always lead to completing the bigger picture.
3. Remove people out of alignment from your goals. No matter if it seemed impossible, Jeff Bezos demanded results and he usually got them.
4. Value your employees and those around you who do align with your goals. Jeff Bezos was actually bad at this as his attitude was kind of bully-ish to his loyal people. By the time he realized his treatment, it was too late which brings me to my final point...
5. Jeff Bezos was an a-hole. One to learn from but an a-hole nonetheless:-)

The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster will prepare you for the wild ride of entrepreneurship. It will warn you (of forthcoming fears, doubts, and the self-defeating conditioning of your upbringing and past), inoculate you (from the naysayers, dream-stealers, and pains of rejection and failure), and guide you (as you build those under-developed skills of independence, self-motivation, and self-accountability) safely past the landmines that blow up and cause the failure of 66 percent of all new businesses.

I own both the audio and written versions of The Compound Effect. It has been my coach coaching me on consequences of choices. From that I strive to develop good habits to replace unproductive ones.

If Compound Effect is the Coach, then Entrepreneur Rollercoaster is the Offense and Defensive Coordinator preparing you to execute the plays on the field. After listening to Darren's message, I feel even more confident and confirmed to pursue a vision God has given me for an online business.

Darren does an excellent job conveying business advice coupled with empathy and human connection to make the listener (and I'm pretty sure readers to) feel like they can really take this ride successfully.

If you're serious about owning a business and leaving a legacy, then this has to be in your repertoire of resources.

Ryan Blair knows about building a business from the ground up. Like many entrepreneurs he had no formal business education. But he had great survival instincts, tenacity, and, above all, a "nothing to lose" mindset.Blair's middle-class childhood came to an abrupt end when his abusive father succumbed to drug addiction and abandoned the family. Blair and his mother moved to a bad neighborhood, and soon he was in and out of juvenile detention, joining a gang just to survive. Then his mother fell in love with a successful entrepreneur who took Ryan under his wing.

This book is not merely an autobiography, but a carefully written expose on the triumphs and pitfalls of becoming an entrepreneur exploring gigantic opportunities to exposing simple technicalities of it. The book leaves the reader or listener feeling as if "I really want you to succeed so I'm going to share all my experience with you so you can avoid the failures I experienced; or at least know how to recover from them." Ryan Blair does a phenomenal job interweaving story elements with non-fictional details about his life. As a listener of this audio book, I personally feel more equipped to handle entrepreneurship then I ever did before it.

Get this book if you're serious about owning a business and awaiting the challenges that come with it. It will be your personal trainer, motivator, and reminder that you can make it through especially if you include God as the head leading you through the journey.
