I have only listened to a couple of JA Hauss' titles and admittedly, I did enjoy them....but had other authors that perhaps I favored more. THIS particular title was chosen on a whim. And no, I didnt use a credit...I just bought it. I can say I am pleased I did just so I can have as a permanent part of my library.

Aiden's, Kali, & Kyle have been friends since elementary school when Aiden moved to the twins' neighborhood. The three had an instant...and lifelong, maybe even more kind of bond. I can honestly say if you are in a moment of dispair...dont choose this title. But if you need something that is simply real. Raw. Words with truth and meaning to them. Sexy and steamy parts that friggin make you melt, cry, swoon and be feeling that 10 pound weight in your gut. Make you REALLY think about how things would be if you were in that situation, and happen to have a whole box of tissues ( I used 4 travel packets)...pick it! Do it. This is a different style writing for this author. One I hope to see more of because of how it does make you think of life situations.

So today while around the house, I'm not certain if the next title contains more clips of THIS story, but I will be listening!

I loved this title. Often individuals just do the "NEXT" and move on to something different. I encourage individuals that maybe dont have a clear view of what it is like from the opposite viewpoint should experience this title...and stick it through the end. I promise, your view will be skewed. It may not completely change due to certain beliefs, but someday the stigmas attached to the numerous labels placed on people these days, intentional or not...will be broken!

This is not my usual as some others had posted on their reviews. I can add to that! But wholly plugs Batman! This was not only educational...(not a sheltered or prudish woman by ANY sense of the imagination!) but I simply had no knowledge of how some of that went on. Not to say this title was any true reference guide!

Moving on! I absolutely loved this storyline. I thought I read that it made them "chuckle occasionally". I didnt get that. This was clearly a wait and see what happens. I really could not predict the outcome, but loved Cornell & Ryce together. Despite age, their sexuality, their preferences in how they expressed themselves and feelings of love and intimacy as well. As I mentioned, I am not an expert, but the author seemed to write this with fluidity, seriousness, but made it very sexy almost the whole 10 hours of this title. I would inclined to believe that she did her research prior to this. This is my first experience with this author, so if those of you know her work would know better.

I will be looking author up as well as perhaps any other work she has done.
Worth credit or purchase, imo.😉

I have been wanting to listen to this so badly! Checking the library's website, just until my credits came! Finally! And it was worth the credit!

I get stuck on titles that constantly have Andi & Sebastian or Jason & Erin, and have tried to deviate to some new favorites. But a storyline described along with author and the narrators...do it.

I loved Valentina and how she stays true to herself, yet also knows when she IS true to herself and not trying to please the ugly ex-husband, she is more carefree and realizes...she doesn't give two squats what others think of her.
Ford. LAWD! That MAN sounds like something any of us would love to get our hands on. Or actually the other way around. He is smoke. Where there is smoke, there is fire...and them two work out a couple recreational fires exceptionally well!
Ford learns some things about his past that alter the way he makes some choices in life, and trusts "fate", and Mrs. Peabody. No joke.
It really ended with a "that could be the end...orrrr, was that just a PAUSE prior to another book tieing into it?" kind of question in your mind.
I loved it. Worth a credit IMO. Will listen again. Will ball my eyes out at maybe one particular time everytime I listen. Just Do It!

Words are powerful things.....

I will write reviews maybe 30% of the time. I KNOW! I am so sorry people, because I seriously read and often rely on people's reviews before I determine if I want a title.

I have NEVER even heard of this author (sorry R. Yarrows), but this title was phenomenal! Maybe because I am a single mother of two....now older-ish kids, but this title i started at about 4:30 this morning when I needed something to try to sleep. Nope. That certainly did not happen! I'm fact, I had to switch out Bluetooth headphones 3 times total today....Since I see it's 7:44 pm. I only stopped listening when I showered and then dried my hair!

This book has your gut so tied in knots from going this direction to that direction. Definitely was not a predictable story by any means, which is why I am attempting to be evasive in that sense. But honestly, the love is there. Real. Not dramatized. No fantasy love. Real. Not to mention those real life moments where, as a woman especially, you find yourself in that awkward moment when suddenly hot guy, kids sound asleep, he thinks you look gorgeous....but you haven't shaved in over two weeks, you are wearing fuzzy socks, hair up in a messy bun with no makeup and he starts moving towards you in a way that says he is not wanting to lick that sauce from your dinner off your shirt. Then we change gears and th focus goes to a different story line within.

What I did find weird, and at first it threw me, was there were snipitts of "readings" that had been titled before being read so you knew where the two main characters were at....AT THE TIME OF THE SNIPPIT BEING WRITTEN! Then you are back.on board maybe 45 seconds later with the "regular" story. I won't say they are flashbacks, I can't do those. These you will understand once maybe you get to second one.

This is worthy of having in your library. If you use a credit, awesome! If you are out, this is a 13 hour title, buy it! I get a little nervous doing it too...but you can always return of you don't like the voices of story, etc. I am fairly certain of you like titles with hot Special Forces men that are broody, but start doing things to help a single mom he has admired (not in creepy way), and yet love those family man type of guys who still sexy up their wife after time, and yet hold their breath with the suspense of not knowing what, who, or when whatever will be discovered....This is it. And I almost went right past this gem!

Wholly fudgesicles, I was so NOT prepared by the intensity that would literally make my heart pound and yet hold my breath. I actually had this title be "kinda accidentally" chosen while reading the description, while my husband had leaned over in the car and his hand brushed the "select" button. I went with it anyways and just hit "confirm".
I don't generally select titles with this level of pain, darkness, intensity and much dispair. I need a happy, peppy, lovey, (sometimes kinda filthy) storyline. So, if you have those similar tastes...you MIGHT be taking a gamble with this title.
I enjoy both of these narrators, and while I did get hooked (like many others out there) on titles featuring Andi Arndt and Sebastian York...I have to say that I JUST NEED A BREAK from the two. But Savannah Peachwood I have listened to multiple titles with her and I'm glad to have other narrators that are VERY good as well. That being said...Sebastian's narration was perfect in this title, and his voice was not overly featured throughout.
I started this title late yesterday afternoon, fell asleep with my earbuds in listening...then woke at 2:45AM this morning to it still playing, and I had to back it up numerous chapters and only stopped listening to take my shower, then jump right back on board. I honestly couldnt get enough! And just when you think you might have things figured out...something new and suspenseful occurs and you cant be sure if its love or death or both.

This was an absolutely amazing listen! It had a beginning that had you guessing who would do what, then when you got all 🔥 over this and that...BAM! Then to start questioning if maybe someone is perhaps unbalanced once things are thrown in the air.

At every turn there was actually something so suspenseful that you SERIOUSLY don't even notice how friggen erotic, sexy, with your own emotions wound tight with this couple. I have ...ahem, no pun intended...NEVER listened to a book where not only are the narrators chosen perfectly to portray the roles, but the suspenseful eroticism that maybe in other titles may take things too far or is just too much that you have tried and pass now...take a chance on this one!

I am hoping there is a title that will perhaps "back" this one. Both with character types and writing style!

Shooting Stars Series...Gold Star!

These titles were fantastic! Both storylines were so well developed and brought many characters in, that I doubt the series ends here. And I truly hope that it doesnt.

This title does give the second chance romance storyline charm, but with more relatable circumstances to perhaps many readers. I personally found this to be more appealing. But don't think that means the yummy 🔥hotness didn't hit several times. That good stuff comes along in real life too!

Between the children of these families having the typical age related behavior to be expected, to the ex's looking to stir up trouble at the drop of a hat....these two once teen lovers found each other again. The best part about it was, they hardly skipped a beat and realized they were just marking time in their lives....and now know everything happens for a reason.

I maybe didnt read the full description of this title...in fact, I am writing this now without even having gone back to re-read it, but I certainly dont recal anything about any military missions, kidnapping...nothing of the sort.
I will say that I did start it at about 8:30 this morning and stopped it intermittently for brief moments during the day, but i listened with mostly Echo Dot while in bed curled up to heating pad enjoying this title till it just finished about an hour ago.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Iwould say that most of the titles I have purchased of M.Marches I have very much liked, this being one...and a couple, i struggled to get thru chapters till i couldnt stand it any longer. And I can't even give a clear definition of what it is that so "nails on a chalkboard" about some. I have other authors I follow that there might be an occurrence like that maybe once in a while.
This title had two very great narrators, a great author, and despite me missing some details perhaps in the description, had a very great storyline. One that was not predictable by any means, even if you had a clue there was all that other stuff there.
The hotness! I swear that Zachary Webber...you could stick his head in a fishbowl and have him read the words of the Star Spangled Banner and it would be the sexiest thing ever! The sexy parts were so very nice, and so very yummy!
This is a great book to pass the day if you have quite a collection already, but maybe have noticed you missed one...this could very well be it, cuz it made my day better!

This was one that I couldn't just put stars on and go to my next great "listening fix". I seriously had to take the time to say that this was one of THE best second chance romance type stories you will come across.
For real. Most of the time you have a...duh predictable storyline, but the characters are mostly...blah. This one has such independence to each main character, and while there had been some "gives" on each parties part, after so many years, just those few changes allowed them both to see the mistakes made in the past, and how things could go better for the couple now. There is just a small portion from the past that cannot be erased or have compromises made on. ALL the air had to be cleared with them both....all parts of a 10 year distance apart from one another revealed.
At first I would have waivered on using a credit for this. But after completing it, it does hold way more value to it than I initially had given it.

I have been waiting for this one to be released, and was pleased to get today. I love both of these narrators, especially Erin Mallon. Pretty well anything she narrates is an automatic download for me, and the dual narration with Jason Clarke and a title by Kendall Ryan made this worth a credit!
This story has a bit more depth to it than one may think by just reading the descrption (don't dismiss it at being too shallow or superficial)...but at the same time, it's not an intense story line either. It's just great for when you need a time out, a few laughs, several swoons, some sexy hotness thrown in here and there, followed by the HEA.
I love how the characters meet and have this instant chemistry, but he keeps holding back, which naturally is frustrating to her. He does all the right things, but she receives some information a bit prematurely. And the struggles are real! But they were sometimes...real 👍!
**Oooh, and there is bonus goodies thrown in at the end for good measure...to make sure we come back for the NEXT listen to follow this one as well. And I might add that they were NOT all that stingy with how much bonus material was given! Usually you get just a snipet to lure you in. Nope, you are left with some waaay good stuff and I can't wait to now get a hold of this next one to see how things go with Kase! Yum!
