The story was alright, but I couldn't get past all the religion stuff. I wish they noted in the description when books had religious overtones so I knew which books to avoid. I'm returning this book without finishing it.

Felled by a cowardly shot to the back, Stanton Youngblood has just enough time before he dies to leave a single clue to his killer's identity: the word Wayne, scrawled in his own blood. That word means everything to his widow. Leigh Youngblood was once Leigh Wayne, but she left her wealthy family behind thirty years ago when she fell in love with Stanton, a betrayal the Waynes have never forgiven. Now she publicly vows to discover which of her siblings thinks money and power are enough to cover up a murder.

What disappointed you about Family Sins?

I have read several Sharon Sala books and generally like them, but the dialog was awful in this book. There were several problems with the way people spoke, including speaking like old fashioned hicks and all of the adults calling their parents Mama and Daddy, I know this was based in Kentucky, but it didn't seem like realistic dialog, even for southerners.

What did you love best about Unlawful Contact?

This whole series is great, but this was my favorite. I think the bad boy aspect was what made it so hot.

Have you listened to any of Kaleo Griffith’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all of the I-Team series. Kaleo does a great job on all of them.

Any additional comments?

I will be honest and say I couldn't finish this book. The narrator was too hard to listen to. She had a very strange accent (New England maybe?), a deep husky voice and an odd speech pattern. I could only listen for an hour before turning it off. I would ask for my money back, but this came with my monthly Harlequin subscription. I advise listening to the preview before purchasing.
