Wendy Tremont King should have done this book. I did not enjoy all the new voices for Shelby, Uncle Joey and especially Ramos. Ramos is a manly man and his voice did not live up the image of Ramos in my mind. I did like the book from Ramos perspective. Any future Ramos perspective books, keep with Wendy Tremont King's narration.

Marine Logan Hughes uses humor like a shield because the twists and turns his life has taken have led him far from the path he was supposed to tread. He's no priest, and despite his parents' continued hope, he has no desire to become one. Still, he's no devil, either. So when his attempt to protect an innocent person lands him with two choices - the brig or marriage to a woman he doesn't know - he chooses marriage. Which means denying his family's plans for him once and for all.

What made the experience of listening to The Jubilee Problem: A Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James Mystery the most enjoyable?

Wendy Tremont King and Simon Prebble made the listening very enjoyable. I enjoyed the interactions with the common people who helped Lucy obtain the cart and clothes

What other book might you compare The Jubilee Problem: A Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James Mystery to and why?

I would not compare the 1-2-3 books in The Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James Mysteries series with the 4-5-6 books done by Wendy Tremont King and Simon Prebble.
Wendy's voice portrays Lucy James so well and Simon Prebble is great with Sherlock Holmes. Frankly, there is no comparison, that I skipped 1-2-3 books and moved on to the narrators I really like!

Which character – as performed by Wendy Tremont King and Simon Prebble – was your favorite?

Lucy James is so witty and intelligent. Sherlock Holmes so British and detective like!
Lucy is my favorite character as I have a daughter Lucy...sorry Simon!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, too long for 1 sitting.

Any additional comments?

Recommend: Redo Books 1-2-3 in The Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James Mysteries series by Wendy Tremont King and Simon Prebble, if you want this series to be a hit and sell books! It's a shame the 1st 3 books are done differently, may not encourage listeners to to even go to further books in the series.....
