First let me discuss the new narrator Regina Reagan. She does a fine job... But why choose to NOT use a Maine or New England Accent? The story could be about anyone. Actually maybe the new voice is because Jessica and friends are so new too. New attitudes; new ways of interacting. Not a favorite.

As usual, Fortune and her lady friends are up to their eyeballs in mayhem.
House Fire
A Creeper
Crazy neighbors
Hunky Cop and Fireman
oh, and a pet bobcat!

Hard to believe she has only been in Sinful three weeks!!! Can't wait to read more.

I love Cassandra Campbell's narration too. perfect tone for these stories

A great addition to this series. The mysteries kept me thinking and engaged. I was totally wrong about one thing (ok maybe more than 1) and totally right about another.... wink wink.
The setting was nice too, Sir Hugh's ancestral home in Sussex. She really shines as the mistress of a great house and using her mother, great aunt (Queen Mary) and great great grandmother (Queen Victoria) as mental guides she rises to the task of trying to run the home. However all the shenanigans going on there put a bee in our Georgie's bonnet.
Three weddings or not, Georgie and Darcy; Gram-pa and Mrs Huggins; Claire and her German, Max.
Queenie becomes a savior in more ways than one.

i'm having trouble writing the above because my mind is full of the sad news about the wonderful narrator Katherine Kellegren's passing. I did not know until the forward on this recording by Ms. Bowen. My first introduction to Ms. Kellegren was the Rick Riordan series, The Kane Chronicles, and i was hooked!!! I found other stories she narrated and enjoyed her so much. I was so shocked i couldn't start the book right away. Usually i re-read the entire series and add the latest... I decided not to this time. Ms. Kellegren will be missed by many. I'm thankful to have found and heard her remarkable narrations.
Soooooooooooooooo... Big shoes to fill.

Jasmine Blackborow does an excellent job. I was able to still hear the characters voices. Fig, Binky, and Queenie are a bit different, but after a while I wasn't noticing that anymore. Kudos Ms. Blackborow for making these characters her own. I look forward to hearing more of the Royal Spyness Mysteries

Maybe it was the narrator or the story but this cozy mystery was hard to take. Maybe if I read the paperback I might have been able to enjoy this. I'm sure the narrator is fine, as I can see from several 4-5 star reviews. But not for me. I found the reading in ITALICS grating and it was hard, for me, to concentrate on the story.
Too bad as I'm always looking for a new series. I will be returning this boo.

Would you listen to Bill O'Reilly's Legends and Lies: The Patriots again? Why?

Yes I would definitely listen to this book again. It is so chock full of interesting facts I'm not sure i absorbed them all in the first reading.

What a nice story!! The characters are well drawn so you have a feel for each of the children as the story unfolds. I really enjoyed Alyssa Bresnahan’s narration style.

Don’t know how I missed this book growing up in the 60’s. I think this would be a great introduction to audiobooks for children but the story isn’t just for kids.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Basically yes, but i skipped ahead about to about 2 hours left, because i knew who the culprit was. When i skipped ahead they were just catching on.

If you’ve listened to books by Kate Saunders before, how does this one compare?

This was my first

What does Anna Bentinck bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

hard to say since i skipped a good part of the story

Any additional comments?

Way to plodding along for me. I liked the narrator, but don't know if it was her delivery or the writing that was so slow to come to the point

For some reading the story and narration combined to annoy me greatly. I have read other books in this series and enjoyed them. Sorry I just cannot put my finger on the “why” I had to return it.
