Caroline Murphy swore she'd never set foot back in the small Southern town of Peachtree Bluff; she was a New York girl born and bred and the worst day of her life was when, in the wake of her father's death, her mother selfishly forced her to move - during her senior year of high school, no less - back to that hick-infested rat trap where she'd spent her childhood summers.

Brilliant designer Miko Jin is a hopeless romantic. She's spent most of her life falling in love over and over again...with the men she finds in the pages of her favorite novels. When Miko meets Liam Ashton, it's love at first sight. At least, for her. Sure, the two of them are polar opposites, and yes, he seems to be dating someone new each week. But Miko knows what true love is and that you can't rush it - after all, what she lacks in real-world experience, she makes up for in book smarts.

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

This book was amazing! Loved that it was actually read by Tiffany as it made it that much more enjoyable as her energy was really portrayed well through the many characters of her life. Yes, the book had a few sad parts, but the happy/funny moments outnumber those. You will truly laugh and cry with enjoyment from this book.

I really enjoy Nancy Thayer books, as they never disappoint. I was a little worried at first about this book as it was a little hard to catch on to at the beginning. I wasn't used to her writing from a different characters perspective every chapter, but after an hour or so of listening, I finally caught on and ended up really loving this book and following along with Abby, Lilly, Emma, and Marina.
