I have now listened to this book 3 times. It is my favorite story of my favorite character from early America written by my favorite author and read by my favorite narrator. It is long but never feels dragged out or dull. You will be glad you took the time.

Excellent retelling.

I had such high expectations for this book. Henry Rollins did a great job but I couldn't get past the pretentiousness of the text.

Pitch perfect narration of a classic story. I've read the books numerous times and of course seen the movies but Rob Inglis brings the story to life.

Everyone knows the story so that's not the selling point but the narration really makes it come alive. Nicely done!

Obviously a well known, time honored story so I can't say much about the story itself. Rob Inglis' narration was perfect. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job at bringing the characters to life. Even though I've read the book a dozen times, I couldn't stop listening to the audio version.

Really enjoyable!

Incredible depth of characters

I typically read (listen to) non fiction but was drawn to this book by all the hype. I must say it lives up to the hype. I was riveted by the narrative and sucked in to the story. The characters, despite their frequently despicable choices, came alive for me as if they were someone I knew from the past. It helped that I'm from the upper Midwest and familiar with the different locations of the story. For lovers of fiction, I think this is must.
