Once there lived three children and their trusty dog Nugget. Janner Igiby, his brother Tink and their crippled sister Leeli are gifted children as all children are, loved well by a noble mother and ex-pirate grandfather. But they will need all their gifts and all that love to survive the evil pursuit of the venomous Fangs of Dang who have crossed the dark sea to rule the land with malice and pursue the Igibys who hold the secret to the lost legend and jewels of good King Wingfeather of the Shining Isle of Anniera.

On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness was everything I love in fiction.
It was a good yarn, presented in epic Lord of the Rings like historical style (the author created a whole world of wonder), yet there was a touch of... Seuss-like humor interwoven that was understatedly hilarious.
This book would have been too intense for my crowd of children aged ten and younger, so I listen via headphones during my cleaning time. I’ve been horrendously morning sick with my sixth baby and there are few fiction books worth my brain space and time... but this one was so good that I’m recommending it to everyone I meet!
The reading of it on the Audible version added layers of delight to the tale.
