An easy yet enjoyable listen; I would recommend All the Living to anyone who enjoys romance novels in a rural setting.

Gretchen Rubin had an epiphany one rainy afternoon in the unlikeliest of places: a city bus. "The days are long, but the years are short," she realized. "Time is passing, and I'm not focusing enough on the things that really matter." In that moment, she decided to dedicate a year to her happiness project.

While I enjoyed this book immensely, I found that Gretchen Rubin's reading made it difficult to tell when she was reading "reader's responses" to her blog posts or her own words. I did enjoy The Happiness Project enough to listen to it multiple times, however I can only take Gretchen Rubin's voice for so long.

While I am not usually a fan of historical fiction based on economical or political events, I found Christopher Lane's reading of The Whiskey Rebels to be quite engaging. Lane's performance provided an easy listen for a rather complex set of characters and intertwined story lines.

Having read the first and second Friday Night Knitting Club novels in paperback format I was excited to find the audiobook for Knit the Season. While I normally enjoy Carrington MacDuffie's readings, I found this novel underwhelming as I had not pictured the characters with voices like those that Carrington MacDuffie portrayed, and found some of her pronunciations over the top.
Nevertheless, Knit the Season was worth the read if you enjoyed the first two novels, although I don't think I'll be quick to jump on the fourth novel if ever one is released.

If you could sum up How to Knit a Love Song in three words, what would they be?

Steamy romance, rural setting and fiber; what more could I girl want in a book?!

Any additional comments?

I was not expecting this book to get quite so hot and heavy, so I would like to warn you that there are certain chapters where children should not be present while you are listening! Otherwise, I love this book. Sure the story and characters were rather predictable, but every now and then you need that guilty pleasure!
I found this book highly enjoyable and quickly purchased the rest of the series once I completed this listening!
