In the chaotic aftermath of World War II, American college girl Charlie St. Clair is pregnant, unmarried, and on the verge of being thrown out of her very proper family. She's also nursing a desperate hope that her beloved cousin Rose, who disappeared in Nazi-occupied France during the war, might still be alive.

4.5
Remarkable narration as far as the performance goes. But Charlie's story dragged the plot most of the time, although I do feel attached to her now. This book wouldn't have worked if I didn't have extra time to spare.

This is a story from the Chilling Ghost Stories collection. The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe, tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language, and supernatural atmosphere.

I honestly don't know why I love this poem. It just relaxes me, weird. The never more part is really funny though haha
