Call Me by Your Name first swept across the world in 2007. It is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy.

That’s what the ending of this book had me doing. Crying in the middle of a restaurant, and immediately on the last words as read by Armie Hammer, rewinding to hear the last few minutes all over again. Then I wrote a love poem to my husband. Great book! Great performance.

I liked it better than the I JEDI simply because it does not suffer from being told from the first person perspective. This is a good study of the relationship between the Emperor and Vader that gives you insight into how the apprentice is psychologically trained by his master. Also, the book is a good prequel to the REBELS storyline.

I'm not a fan of this narrator's turn as emperor although I do like his Vader.

Carlos Castanada was a student of anthropology when he met Don Juan Matus, a Yaqui shaman and the inspiration for Castanada’s The Teachings of Don Juan. In this controversial work, Castanada relays his experiences being challenged by his mentor on his perception of the world and all living things in it.

Narration was somehow annoying. Could never put my finger on why. Still worth it for what it teaches and postulates.

Once the Sith order teemed with followers. But their rivalries divided them in endless battles for supremacy - until one dark lord at last united the Sith in the quest to enslave the galaxy and exterminate the Jedi. Yet it would fall to another, far more powerful than the entire Brotherhood of Darkness, to ultimately realize the full potential of the Sith, and wield the awesome power of the dark side as never before.

Where does Star Wars rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I got my Audible.com membership & started listening to the newest Star Wars novels when a glaucoma surgery was going to keep me from reading for a month.

The newest versions are superbly engaging. They are also unabridged so lots of ideas as well as extra back story about the Star Wars universe comes out.

Still, I liked the story and it is interesting to hear even the abridged version as this is the background for all of the later novels I have been listening to for the last few months.

I recommend these recordings though mostly because they are no unabridged versions.

Would you recommend Star Wars to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. Lots of fun for those of us who want to continue the on-going saga and learn more about the philosophy of the Force.

Did Anthony Heald do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Mostly. I always knew who was who.
