Kevin Hart performing in this was so good that whenever I recommend this book to friends I tell them they cannot read the book on paper. They absolutely have to get the audiobook and hear what he adds to it with his voice. The book or the audiobook would be fine, but the audiobook is so much better. Great read. I look forward to getting in the car so I can turn the book back on.

The book is one of the best reads for me in years. His story is so inspiring that it makes me think that I can even do standup myself. So, that might be a massive downside to this book.

The concepts surrounding attachment theory, peer attachment, and peer orientation are epic. After over a decade of researching my own area (men becoming dads) this book has helped bring several separate ideas together. After reading this, I feel like my understanding of development has come together more now than ever before. Truly outstanding read. Eager to read again with pen in hand.

Such a meaningful book for any parent, especially a father, of a quarterback. My son is eight years old. It has its ups and downs. I try to manage myself, yes I mean myself, to do what is best for him. I think of my son as his own coach and I’m just trying to keep up. I think of it that way because it’s true. It’s tough dealing with coaches and teams were the quarterback is only the coaches son. It’s tough dealing with games where my son gets hurt. It’s tough seeing him struggle. And I have so much pride in him for continuing his struggle.

This book was a fascinating view of other fathers and how they lived with their sons struggled to be quarterback. Read well and I truly enjoyed it.

I always listen to stories about politics with a grain of salt. But, when Bob Woodward says it - wow. He doesn’t reach for flash. The facts tell the story. What a story and great telling of that story. Great read.

It was on a cruise and they were parts of it that I missed. This is the second time that I read it. It was fun because of some new parts that I was the first time around, but, honestly even what I remember was just as good the second time. Like listening to a great song second time. Awesome writing, awesome storytelling, awesome.

Well written in that it was as entertaining as informative. Very well performed. It was nice to hear Obama’s voice telling the story and a welcome shock to hear how well he performed multiple voices. I enjoyed it. —John, a conservative.
