Narration is awful... nooo enthusiasm in her speaking.... very blah! If you buy it, you'll see! I had a hard time with that but the story was good enough. A poor narrator really is a bad thing... :-(

Great narration! Held my interest throughout! Would recommend! Some language however, which I'm not in favor of but I couldn't put it down either :-(

Excellent narration! Started out a little slow but it picked up and turned out to be a really good book. There is some language in it. Wouldn’t it be nice if books could be rated so we knew before purchasing. At any rate, The story is worth the read.

Good story, a lot of foul language

The narrator was very good, the story was interesting and I would’ve enjoyed it a lot better if they had not used the foul language which was pretty much unnecessary. Too bad they don’t put ratings on books like they do on TV series and movies.

I very much enjoyed this book. It wasn't a real mystery and yet it was mysterious. I don't think you'll be disappointed in it. The narrator was very good at changing voices for various characters. The book was kind of different as I'm used to reading "Cozy mysteries" so this was a nice change and yet it was still a mystery.

Totally unnecessary vulgar, vulgar language. The book was very depressing to me. I know she went through a difficult time and I DO understand that and I've seen a lot of kidnapping movies & series plus trad other books... just written in a very depressing manner.

Narrator is not great on the men's voices. All sounded pretty much alike and not good but the book is still a good listen. At one point she comments, "his voice sounded clear as glass" (or something very similar) and then you hear him speak and it's this, NOT clear as glass voice. Not good...

Narrators can make or break a book but what bothers one person may not bother another so I'd try it, the 1st in the series and see for yourself.

To mention another book you may like that read prior, "Six Months Later"... I thought "Unremembered" may be like that one but it's not at all. "Unremembered" is science fiction but both books are good.

Kept me very interested. Perhaps could be "just the kind of book" I like? But I truly enjoyed this book. Not a cozy mystery like I usually read but still a mystery!! Maybe I was ready for something else but it was hard to not just sit and listen (when I didn't have time)

I can't really tell you anything about this book without giving away something but I can say the narrator did a really bang up job and that certainly helps make a more enjoyable read and I thought the book was written well.... She uses the verbiage "I say", instead of "I said" and somehow that seemed okay, even though she used it quite a bit, not overly and it seemed to work.

I'd give this one a try!! I'm looking for another just like it but this author has ONLY this 1 book out that I was able to find. Although, I did find another 3 book series by Jessica Brody, the 1st called, "Unremembered" that I'm going to try... sounds kinda good! (I love it when others mention good books they've read that are similar to a good book they've read)

Okay, that's it!! I liked this book quite well and would recommend it to you! Enjoy!!

The 1st book I reviewed was the 1st I'd read in this series and it had a different narrator, which, I didn't enjoy so that left a lot to be desired. This narrator was MUCH better, which is such a big part of whether or not I enjoy any audible book. BECAUSE the narrator was better at changing voices, she DID NOT use "he said, I said, she said", much at all, which was tedious/aggravating (?) in the only other of this series I read, "The Main Mutiny" and I mentioned in my last review.

I do plan to go on to the next in the series. I sure wish I were able to get the books from book #1 but unfortunately, they're not available at present

I suppose one of the reasons I didn't rate this book 5 stars all the way across is because I enjoy the TV series more but this is a good read and though, not one I couldn't put down, I didn't mind picking it back up either!

A good, easy read, cozy mystery... clean and comfortable.

Oh, one other thing, I and one other person I know, prefer to read those that take place in Jessica's hometown of Cabot Cove. Being these are not more or less continued but rather, stand on their own, you can pick and choose which you'd like to read next.

Hope you enjoy!!

Enjoyable and did keep my interest. Not overwhelming with too many characters to keep track of. Very good cozy mystery. Not that I couldn't put it down but I didn't mind picking it back up (so to speak) either. Just liked it!! Bought the whole darn series :)
