When Kate Bowman temporarily moves to her grandmother’s Missouri farm with her husband and baby son, she learns that the lessons that most enrich our lives often come unexpectedly. The family has given Kate the job of convincing Grandma Rose, who’s become increasingly stubborn and forgetful, to move off her beloved land and into a nursing home. But Kate knows such a change would break her grandmother’s heart.

Really enjoyable listen. Great story of a family coming together and coming to understand each other because they finally decided to listen to each other rather than assume.

Some twins communicate in a secret language all their own. For Whiskey and Charlie Ferns, the two-way alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, delta) whispered back and forth over their crackly walkie-talkies is the best they can do. But as the brothers grow up, they grow apart. Whiskey is everything Charlie is not - bold, daring, carefree - and Charlie blames his brother for always stealing the limelight, always striving ahead while seeming to push Charlie back.

Superheroes have always been Leia Birch Briggs' weakness. One tequila-soaked night at a comics convention, the usually level-headed graphic novelist is swept off her barstool by a handsome and anonymous Batman. It turns out the caped crusader has left her with more than just a nice, fuzzy memory. She's having a baby boy - an unexpected but not unhappy development in the 38-year-old's life.

I am only a chapter in and i can go no further. I am an RN and i cannot stand it when books are not medically accurate. There is no way a child with these medical conditions would be going away to camp two hours from home in the first place. If an author is going to write about a medical condition, then do your research and make the story plausible!

I am usually not a fan of a story being written and narrated by the same person. This one works due to the deep emotional issues involved in the story. I am not sure someone could have "read" it and come across as genuinely as the person who has lived it. Good job.
