Series started off really good but this book felt a little anticlimactic. I think they stretched out this one and the last so they could make another book but it would have been better as just 1 book.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

I absolutely loved this story. I am a nerd and a gamer and found myself grinning a lot as I became apart of this world but even if you are not either of these you will find yourself drawn in. The characters are not flat and you are shocked by some of them.

I am also a 7th grade teacher. I would recommend these to 7th and up but be warned that there are several bad words and graphic comments at times. This might be a book that I would require parent permission to read just in case the parents did not prefer their child to be reading an edgier book.

An absolutely fantastic book - left me guessing and then crying to the very end. The voice actor was the perfect one for this book!
