On the night of the Parkhurst ball, someone had a scandalous tryst in the library. Was it Lord Canby, with the maid, on the divan? Or Miss Fairchild, with a rake, against the wall? Perhaps the butler did it. All Charlotte Highwood knows is this: It wasn't her. But rumors to the contrary are buzzing. Unless she can discover the lovers' true identity, she'll be forced to marry Piers Brandon, Lord Granville - the coldest, most arrogantly handsome gentleman she's ever had the misfortune to embrace.

I just love EJ's books because they're so passionate. I do'nt mean sexy and explicit but that the hero can't help him self, he's overpowered by passion. The narrator takes getting used to but when you do she's good.

Does one need four fully-grown foxgloves for decorating a dinner table for six guests? Or is it six foxgloves to kill four fully-grown guests? Sophronia's first year at school has certainly been rousing. First, her finishing school is training her to be a spy. (Won't Mumsy be surprised!) Secondly, she gets mixed up in an intrigue over a stolen device and has a cheese pie thrown at her.

I want my romance novels to be funny, exciting and sexy. This one just disgusted me. I didnt even finish it.
I did'nt like the narrator either but I'm not sure if my irritation over the story made me dislike her voice more.
If you like miserable heroines surrounded by perverts, go ahead and listen to this book. I'm returning it and will never try this writer again!

It's going to take a Beast to tame this Beauty. The Enigma Earl. The Lord Phantom. That's what the gossip pages call Lord Greenwich, a mysterious nobleman who doesn't show his face in London Society. With a reputation like that, it's no wonder that Lydia Montgomery is horrified to be dragged from bed and packed off to live with him to save her mother from penury. While Lydia has received all of the training a lady should endure, she's decidedly un-ladylike.

Would you be willing to try another one of Helen Moore-Gillon’s performances?

I will never listen to anything that she narrates again.

Any additional comments?

I love the other books of Tessa Dare that I've read. It's just so disappointing when they engage a bad narrator. Did they listen to her read anything before they hired her?
