Hazel Hunter puts a different spin on the druid ancestors arriving into the Immortal Highlanders world by bringing back an extra individual with the female who is brought back to the past. Also she is not from the same area as the last 3 arrivals and throws this Highlander into a confused and protective state. When our time travelers powers are revealed right away you soon wonder how the other members of the clan will receive her as does Tormod. As in other books it is thought to send the new arrival back to their own time but it seems like their feelings and events conspire to keep her in the past, since they have nothing to return to in the future. Jema seems to fit into this century from the start do to her profession in the modern world. We are taken back to Dun Aran for the story of Tormod and Jema as they discover love and loyalty to each other and their clan and family. Tormod and Jema take you to the heights of love and desire. As they fight the enemy and become enmeshed in the secrets that are revealed with help of Tormod Highland clan. By concealing Jema from the clan Tormod puts his position with them at risk because the reasons that he is keeping Jema a secret are because she has no memory and because of the power. With the help of their allies Jema's heritage is revealed and they are able to undertake a mission of saving the people they love but with a great sacrifice. There are surprises for Jema and her brother as well as Tormod finding out about the turmoil of his sister and her resurrection into an unusual form. His clan is put in danger by his sister and he has to make the ultimate sacrifice for his adopted family. Jema is given the chance to discover the object she was searching for in modern times. When Jema makes the ultimate sacrifice and the goddess Freya brings her back to life unfortunately its revealed that her brother by what Tormod saw is dead. Watching from his cloaked position Gavin believes that Jema is picking the Highlanders and her new life over him so he does the same. Tormod and Jema get married and she gets to use her profession in her new life with the help of her new husband. Questions are left to be answered such as; What will happen to Gavin? Will Jema and Gavin be reunited as siblings? Will Gavin find the love of his life like Jema did? I look forward to finding out in this final book of this group of Immortal Highlander books. And am looking anxiously awaiting how the new Immortal Highlanders will come to be more fully formed because the reader got a glimpse of their origins in this book with Jema's heritage.

Hazel Hunter continues the immortal Highland Series with the story of the clans Seneschal turned traitor Evander and Billionaire heiress Rachel. You can feel the attraction and heat and growing love between these two as the get to know each other. Their story made tears come to my eyes when you witness the deep and true sacrificing love of Evander and Rachel. Their lives are intertwined and you realize before they do that they have a lot in common. Both are dealing with pain and hear ache in their pasts and are keeping secrets from each other. Though its harder for Evander since Rachel's druid powers make that almost impossible. As their trust and attraction grows they learn to trust each other and when they finally consummate their relationship there is no going back. Meanwhile they have enemies from both sides looking for Rachel Ingram. Evander knows he isn't the man for Rachel and tries to leave her with the druids but changes his mind at the village fair. When Rachel goes on a mushroom hunt alone and interrupts a couple making love because of what she learns from her powers. She makes an enemy who goes to the undead and the kidnap her. Rachel being kidnapped brings all parties interested in her together in one place for the battle to save her and the captive humans from the undead. But the tension isn't just the battle its also dealing with Evander's betrayal. Evander will do anything to save Rachel and she'll do the same. Once the battle is over there is still the problem of releasing the enthralled humans and Rachel from the undead leaders holding her. Evander and Rachel make the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone else. Rachel is brought back from the dead but coerces a druid into bringing back Evander. Diana, Kinley & Rachel form there own war council of three and want to go after the undead themselves. We also get a glimpse into what Great Plan the druids are executing. Just what are those magical beings seeing and conjuring up, only Hazel Hunter know and I hope she'll tell us all before she finishes the series. I'm looking forward to reading Tormod and Gavin's stories in the next books and also getting to know the all new line of Immortal Highlanders coming in the next couple of months.

He's an undercover agent trying to clear his name as a murder suspect and he looks a lot like one of their own. Together they must brave the elements, bears and their attraction for each other to survive. Will he be able to clear his name? Can she forget the man who's stolen her heart? What happens when they can't forget about each other? Are they going to be able to tame each other?
