I’ve read a number of Stephanie Plum’s adventures and find them amusing, but this one was dragged out to the “nth” power, kind of silly.

In all the reviews no one questions how the kidnapper managed to impregnate her captor without her knowledge.
Am I the only one, who has this question? I even went back to re-listen and I still am not sure. Of course, she could have drugged her captor again, but there was no indication of that. If anyone can answer this, please refer to the chapter I need to listen to again.

Wow, what a story that I would have missed had my daughter not recommended it to me. I didn't want it to end. I wanted more about the time Lenore returns to Alaska. What transpired upon her return? More detail about her renewed relationship with Matthew. What was decided about the former property where she grew up, their son and children that followed. What happened with her relationship with her grandparents? Does this inspire a sequel? I'd like that.

In an interview with Robin Morgan-Bently she says it’s a memoir and the title indicates exactly what she gave the reader - pieces of her life. I have always been a fan of hers and was excited to learn about her life. What I did not expect was how difficult and sad it was. Pictures of her as a teen and young adult certainly don’t indicate that. Not only does the portrait on the cover of this book (as beautiful as it is) show a sadness and apprehension in her eyes, but you can also hear it in her narration. I don’t know if writers read these reviews, but for whatever its worth, I think she can be very proud of her accomplishments. I loved her movies and will always be a fan. Thank you for sharing pieces of your life.

I enjoyed listening to the author’s life story and wish there were more like him serving the public. What bothered me were his narration skills. If he does this in the future, he should take some lessons beforehand in enunciation. He had a tendency to muffle words at the end of sentences.

This memoir was not at all what I expected! It was intense and riveting to hear what the author endured and how she persevered. Hopefully, in writing this memoir it has helped her heal the wounds it created in her life. She certainly has accomplished a lot despite of it and she should be very proud of herself in doing so. It reminded me of another book I read by Karen Armstrong titled THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE, about her entering the convent and the treatment she endured.

I am drooling over this book and just didn't want it to end. Always having been a fan of all their collaborations as Lucy and Ricky, it was wonderful to get an inside perspective and gain true insight about Desi's life from the beginning and later from his public life, blown out of proportion by the tabloids. Fake news? It was amazing to learn what an empire he and Lucy had managed to build. If you were and still are a fan, I highly recommend it and suggest to follow up withh "LOVE LUCY."

Over the years I have read most of the books that have come out about Lucy and Desi, but none are as wonderful as this. So glad the manuscript was found. I listened to it in one sitting. Thank you Lucy Arnaz for sharing this with her fans. All of us will always love Lucy.
