I read the first 2 books in this series so it was interesting to listen to the 3rd. I really enjoyed how the narrator brought the characters to life and it fell in synch with how I believed them to sound while reading the first two. I really felt for Chia in this book, it seems that she is fighting a losing battle but she doesn't give up. At its core this is a true good vs evil story that keeps your attention. I am invested in these characters and love the authors writing style. In my opinion there is a perfect romance/mystery/paranormal balance in this series. I look forward to more in the series and from this author

I absolutely loved this book. It was fast paced with in depth characters that I want to know more about! Romeo, Poppy & Eloise need their own series - that trio must have some great adventure stories to tell. The descriptive world building is on point. The narrator is fantastic in bringing the story to life with perfect pacing and easy to understand and distinct character voices. I was captivated from start to finish and look forward to more in this series and from this author and narrator.

Angel blood runs through her veins. Spunky guitar goddess Spike just wants to be a rockstar. But destiny calls, and it won't be denied. Spike spends her days training for a war she never wanted to be part of and her nights as the guitarist of up-and-coming rock band, Crimson Sin. Like all nephilim, she's caught in the middle of a war between the light and the dark. She's got a werewolf best friend, a penchant for partying, and a problem with commitment. Spike does her best to avoid choosing a side, until she meets smoking-hot bass player Rowen Cruz and devilish frontman Arrow Lynch.

I love reading about Nephilim and this was a new and interesting take on them. The world building was great but I felt that character development and back story were lacking. We are told repetitively that Spike is hesitant to choose a side but never really why except she's a commitment phobe. Overall I did enjoy the story and the narrator was on point in bringing the story and characters to life with fantastic inflection and perfect pacing. I look forward to more from this author and narrator.

Supernaturals are out of the closet but I have to stay hidden because of the type of magic I possess. I’m a Legacy. It sounds like the title should come with reverence, a trust fund, or at the very least a cool backstory—instead it comes with a death sentence. I have to hide in plain sight and pretend to be just human. I’m pretty good at it. I live a simple and somewhat normal life, and I work in antique acquisitions. Everything’s going fine until a dangerous and enchanted dagger that was once in my possession is stolen. I didn’t think things could get any worse until I woke up next to a dead shifter, fae, and mage, without any memory of the past twenty-four hours. Considered guilty of murder by most of the magical community and humans, I must work with Gareth, the sexy and dangerous leader of the Supernatural Guild.

Overall I liked the different types of magical beings and their abilities as well as the world building of how magic is treated in the series. The narrator was great at bringing the story to life. I would like some more background and depth in the side characters but hopefully that will come in book 2. I will be continuing this series and am looking forward to more from this author.

As with the other books in this series Deep Six is action packed with such descriptive world building you can see the action taking place. I really love the originality of the powers in this series - my fave in this book is etched man, I hope there is a book telling his story because I find his abilities fascinating and would live to know how they came about. The narrator does a marvelous job bringing these characters to life with great pacing and inflection. This can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the others to get the full story. I look forward to more in this series and from this author.
