Starter Zone is a great first in series. It lays the groundwork and introduces the reader to the characters and world. The world building and character development are in depth and on point. I quickly became invested in Cami and Alby and was listening whenever I could to see where the story took them. I do not want to give any spoilers but I did find the story slowed a little once the gaming aspect was introduced. The transition at that point was a tad to easy in my opinion however being as this is only book 1 I am sure there are many obstacles ahead. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the story to life. I look forward to more in this series.

No one said being a princess was easy, and for Aledwen, the fae princess of spring, it's even harder. Especially with her lack of magic and the upcoming Birth of Spring. A ceremony she should be performing for the first time but can't. Luckily, she doesn't have to figure it out alone. Though at times, her shifter mates seem to be more of a hindrance than a help, and her elf's sense of duty may just override the bond between them. Can Aledwen become the queen she was always meant to be? Or will she be stuck as a magic-less princess?

This was a good story overall. The concept and world building were interesting and original. I don't know if they were lacking due to the length of the story but I would have liked to see more character development and definitely more relationship development. I am not an insta-love fan. I did like how supportive the harem was overall and how they helped Aledwen grow. The narrator did a wonderful job at bringing the characters and story to life.

Evelyn Harbinger sees nothing wrong with a one-night stand. At 149 years old, Eve may look like she bakes oatmeal cookies in the afternoon and dozes in her rocking chair in the evening, but once the gray hair and wrinkles are traded for jet-black tresses and porcelain skin, she can still turn heads as the beautiful girl she once was. Can't fault a girl for having a little fun, can you?

I had a hard time getting into this story. It is slow to start and the characters are somewhat flat. If I were reading it I would have skimmed and possibly not finished it. However the Narrators were so Fantastic in bringing the story and characters to life that I kept listening - and I am glad I did. Overall it ended up being a good story. I love the reversal of light being bad and dark being good. I would definitely give book 2 a chance.

Vampires aren't supposed to feel anything beyond hunger and bloodlust, but Viktor still feels a whole lot. He hates what he's become, but there's no escape. Not from the dying city smothering him, or from his maker, an arrogant tyrant who demands absolute loyalty. Ketha's a shifter and a seer, for all the good it does her. Not enough magic is left to power much of anything. In a rare victory, an image forms in her glass, and she understands how magic broke the world - and how to fix it. The only antidote is an alliance with vampires, but she can't convince anyone to cooperate.
