Would you try another book from Blake Karrington and/or Charles E. Williams?

!I wouldn't try another book narrated by Charles E. williams

If you’ve listened to books by Blake Karrington before, how does this one compare?

This was my first book by Blake

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Charles E. Williams?

Cary Heit or Ezra Knight

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from God Forgives?

none

Any additional comments?

The narrator took so much away from the book and the plot that it was painful listening to this book. Williams is not a good narrator! If you can stomach the narration then this is a overall good book.

Madison Tyler thought a man like Granville Washington could fulfill her sexual desires and her need for occasional male companionship. And as the owner of a multimillion-dollar multimedia firm, that’s as much as Madison wants or needs right now. Granville is desperate to hold on to Madison. The harder she tries to end contact with him, the harder he fights to stay connected to her. I was somewhat skeptical about this book but I was elated to know that my Skepticism was put to rest after the first few pages. It was Mary B. Morrison at her best. The characters were vibrant and colorful. Madison selfishness and rich girl attitude would eventually lead down the wrong road. She seems to enjoy the "slippery slope" she walked on. Granville was just…how can I say it…delusional and Loretta, well… They all will get what they are asking for. I just hope that Chicago will come out unscathed, maybe?

I really enjoy the Hallelujah series and The Eleventh Commandment is a great addition. Sy & Hope are truely "real" Christians, especially Hope...that sistah is grounded in the Lord because I am not sure if I have enough faith & hope to accept what she did. Sy is a wonderful man & husband. Freita? what can I say...I am glad that she is finally growing up and hopefully she will have her hearts desire in the coming books. Stacey...a woman after my own heart! I was plesently elated to read how she handled Tony. Glad that Lutishia didn't "paint" in the traditional weak way that women are portrayed when faced with circumstances as hers; many women fight back when pushed in a corner. Hopefully, Tony can get it together. Bo?...a mother?I would love to see that "come to past". I can't wait for the next installment of this series!

I would not recommend this as a listen for anyone. Gwen Hughes was not a good fit for the narration of this novel and because of it, I'm considering getting my credit back. I have enjoyed all of the other Curtis Black novels and have decided to try another avenue to read this book.

What disappointed you about The Eternal Engagement?

Everything! The storyline was entirely too long and boring!

Has The Eternal Engagement turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, not really, at least, not yet anyway

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I can't find one redeeming quality about the performance nor the book.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None that I can think of

Any additional comments?

I was very disappointed in this book, to say the least! Mona & Catherine's attitude and psyche in the book was shameful and not very realistic. I mean who waits for a high-school love for 10 years after graduation? Especially one who never writes, calls, I mean he never even sent them a message by a carrier pidgon! Who does that!? If anything, this made them seem desperate; although Mona married, she still waited for Lincoln in her heart...& Catherine...Lawd! I'll leave the rest of my comment to myself. (let's just say that words cannot be shared on Audible) DO NOT WASTE YOUR CREDIT! TRUST ME!

I would definatly listen to this book again. The plot was great and kept me on the end of my seat!

What did you like best about this story?

The twist and turns of the plot. The drama and the fierce loyalties of the divas...I just couldn't put it down

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

All of the narrators were on point. They displayed emotions where needed and kept their performances snazzy!

Who was the most memorable character of Gangsta Divas and why?

Lucifer because she finally showed her "girly" side.

Any additional comments?

This is the best series I've read in a while besides K'wan's Hood Rat series. The twists and turns in the plot along with the drama that unfolds is just what I enjoy in a novel. But I still have to ask...is Fat Ace really dead? And those Cripettes...OMG! Wait 'til Lucifer gets her hands on them...I CANNOT wait for the fourth installment!

What made the experience of listening to Love on the Run the most enjoyable?

The experience was so enjoyable because the narrator made the characters come to life. Zuri Day is a very vivid and wonderful writer. I hope that Audible will soon have all of her titles available because she is amazing!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite characters were Michael and Shayna. Michael because as soon as he realized that love bit him, he did what was necessary to gain the trust of his woman. Shayna because she had so much dedication to her mother although at times she didn't deserve it. The past story of her mother was very heart wrenching. Her dedication to her best friend turned boyfriend turned ex-boyfriend/stalker was believable and it showed just how much love, warmth, and compassion she possessed.

What about Shari Peele’s performance did you like?

I have enjoyed Shari's performances in whatever book I read. She makes sure to inflect emotions in her readings and seems to work hard to not be monotone. She is a great narrator!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Parts of this book made me laugh especially the scenes between Shayna and her besties. Other parts made me feel sort of sad. Those scenes was when Shayna spoke of her deep need for a deeper connection with her mother; her misunderstanding of their complicated relationship; as well as her self-doubt and self-worth. This book brought home the fact that little girls need a deep bond with both of their parents (if it's possible)

Any additional comments?

This was another great read by a wonderful author-Zuri Day. I really wish that Audible will add her other titles to the library in the near future.
