It is a dark magic, one where he can transport himself wherever he wants, but using it will only turn him into the thief his father fears. Forbidden from Sliding, he's apprenticed under his father as a blacksmith where lorcith, a rare, precious metal with arcane properties, calls to him, seducing him into forming forbidden blades. When discovered, he's banished, sentenced indefinitely to the mines of Ilphaesn Mountain.

If I had to make a complaint it would be that Christians are portrayed negatively. On the other hand far too often Christians earn that negative publicity...regardless it was a great story!

If I could change one thing it would be to remove the gratuitous sex. It seems like every novelist feels obligated to add in unrealistic & often ridiculous sex. Enough of that soap box. This is a good story and I recommend it!

Mankind is enslaved to evil. Noah, a tribal leader, has been prophesied to bring an end to the rule of these "gods" and save humanity from coming destruction. But Noah's wife and son are captives of these dark forces.

I hope to see many more of these well researched stories filled with Biblical truth!

I also appreciated that Brian Godawa kept the story clean - no graphic sex or violence details. We all know sex and violence are a part of the story, but we don’t need the gory details :)

There's only one problem: It's crawling with giants. And these giants are the Seed of the Serpent, linked to the nefarious Nephilim giants before the Flood. They are called Anakim, Rephaim and others. Only two men, Joshua and Caleb, have the faith to face these Nephilim giants whose murderous idolatry defiles the land. But first, they must establish a bridgehead across the river Jordan to launch their invasion.

A devastating disaster has left the Forbidden Court in ashes, its fountains destroyed, and its magic at risk. It was destined as the site of Trynne Kiskaddon's coronation as empress. Now, all Trynne can imagine is the roar of flames, the cries of Gahalatine's people, and the smell of cinders in a city gone dark. Tragic as the threat to Kingfountain is, it's nowhere near as foul as the treachery posed by Morwenna.
