Titan is the first full-length biography based on unrestricted access to Rockefeller’s exceptionally rich trove of papers. A landmark publication full of startling revelations, the book indelibly alters our image of this most enigmatic capitalist. Born the son of a flamboyant, bigamous snake-oil salesman and a pious, straitlaced mother, Rockefeller rose from rustic origins to become the world’s richest man by creating America’s most powerful and feared monopoly, Standard Oil. Branded "the Octopus" by legions of muckrakers, the trust refined and marketed nearly 90 percent of the oil produced in America.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would recommend it, because biographies, especially this of the richest man in the world, are more realistic than any self help book on business to motivate us to go on for achieving success despite of the adversity that surely we can find in our path.Since the Rockfeller family especially Mr.John D.Rockfeller were christian I recommend this book to all the christian that have negative beliefs on money and how instead this can be used to help others and promote science and progress.Above all the speaker was great and the story flowed down like a novel, so don't be afraid of the length of the book...

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character has clearly demonstrated how becoming rich and using wisely your money can help the world progress in a lot of field from technology to medicine etc.The reality of what the Rockfeller family has done for others is in total contrast with what the world think of them today following any absurd and complottistic theory.

Which character – as performed by Grover Gardner – was your favorite?

Anybody. Great Speaker!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No I listened in many months because of the length, but anytime understanding sometime new and useful for my career.

Any additional comments?

This book is recommended on any list of book by business coaches and now i know why, so Read It or Listen It!
