When facing challenges, unpleasant tasks, and contentious issues such as homework, screen time, food choices, and bedtime, children often act out or shut down, responding with reactivity instead of receptivity. This is what New York Times best-selling authors Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson call a No Brain response. But our kids can be taught to approach life with openness and curiosity. Parents can foster their children's ability to say yes to the world and welcome all that life has to offer, even during difficult times.

I love listening to Daniel Siegel giving the neuroscience behind hildren’s behavior. I have 4 boys, and I learn something different with each child as he grows. This book is one of those amazing and eye-opening books that allows parents to rethink their reactions and interactions based on real solid science. I highly recommend this book to every parent I know!

This book is an amazing work that debunks the old way of looking at children’s behavior. This book helps all parents to create a better relationship with their children, while truly helping children grow and learn without punishments, rewards, threats, or damaging the relationship. It sounds like magic, but it is well grounded in research and results. Dr. Greene has changed my life for the better.
