Brilliant story full of clever plot twists and strong characters beautifully brought to life by the actors.

I very rarely give up on books, especially audio books but this one was just so painful. The story is appallingly bad and totally unrealistic - surely after 2 assassination attempts the so called security professional would stop seducing the woman for long enough to actually make sure they were safe?
I really tried to persevere with this but life is just too short.

You don't expect that much from this sort of book, but the writing style and narration combined to make it a pretty boring listen when it could have been good fun.
The narrator does a good job on the accents and has a nice enough voice but is SO SLOW! He draws everything out and made me want to listen on fast forward. This really spoiled the listening experience for me because I just couldn't get into it.

A typical Nora Roberts special - good story, great characters, enough twists to keep you guessing and a happy ending.

I enjoyed this book as a nice, gentle read with some interesting characters but there wasn't much of a plot to it - a little too staid and predictable for my tastes.

Enjoyable but why has it been Americanised?

I enjoyed both the performance and the story but what really spoiled this for me was the way in which the book has been Americanised. It's written by an English author and set in a very English town and read by an English narrator so why on earth do the characters talk about 'diapers', 'vacation' and 'highways'. Did this really need to be changed? It really spoiled my enjoyment of the story.

The Widow audiobook cover art

Interesting but took a long time to get going and never really got that gripping. The constant jumping about of timeline and perspective was quite annoying. Cast were good but the way it was done meant that the same characters had different voices in each chapter which is very distracting.
Not bad but not particularly engaging.

What made the experience of listening to Yours Forever the most enjoyable?

The narrator was excellent and I really enjoyed the way the characters developed. I almost didn't get it as the reviews had been quite mixed but I'm very glad that I did - I thought that the way the book played out was beautifully written, as well as hot!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I finished with a smile on my face.

Any additional comments?

Interesting premise but a little silly and no character development at all - just lots of sex. Narrator was OK but story very thin.
