I did not want to stop listening to this book. The action and intrigue were so incredible, and my FitBit registered my heart rate at over 100 during the most intense portions. The narrators were great, and gave a picture of the characters as they read. This is a "Can't Put it Down" read. Bill Clinton and James Patterson scored a grand slam home-run on this novel!

Hawaii was the last place Grace Christiansen ever imagined she'd vacation, much less fall in love. But when her family surprises her with a cooking retreat in paradise, she is pulled - or maybe yanked - away from her predictable, safe life and thrown headfirst into the adventure of a lifetime.

Would you listen to When I Fall in Love again? Why?

Yes, I have enjoyed the light romances written by Susan May Warren.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Casper is my favorite character. He and I are both middle children, and I know how it is to be overlooked, even though I have special gifts and talents.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Oh, my goodness! She could enunciate the "t's" in the second syllable of words. For example, she pronounces, certainly, as cer-un-ly, tighten, as tie-un. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. I find it difficult to believe an editor hasn't told her how to pronounce those words!!!

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed the Christiansen Family series...but, the narrator drives me crazy. Her voice is great, but the "t's"....it drives me crazy.

What made the experience of listening to Journey to Redemption the most enjoyable?

The story was terrific.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the mystery and suspense.

What didn’t you like about Willow J. Scott’s performance?

She sounded like a college student who ended every sentence with a question mark. There wasn't believable character differences.

What did you love best about When a Heart Stops?

I love the story; the suspense and fast pace are great.

What other book might you compare When a Heart Stops to and why?

Most of Lynette Eason's....

What didn’t you like about Mia Ellis’s performance?

Everything was punctuated, and the character's voices were awful. It sounded as if she were just trying to make up goofy voices, not read the book with expression.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No.

Any additional comments?

I haven't looked, but I hope the third book doesn't have this narrator.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I think maybe an eighteen year old boy who likes to talk dirty might like it.

Would you ever listen to anything by Ana Vela again?

No, the writing is amateurish...poorly done.

Would you be willing to try another one of Avianna Rey’s performances?

The voice and attempt at southern voices, and men's voices is way out of her range. She needs to stick to children's literature where a squeaky little voice may not go unnoticed.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Collins Ranch: The Complete Collection?

There is nothing I would leave.

Any additional comments?

I'm sorry. I have only read one other book in my life that I completely disliked. I'm sixty and have read thousands, so this is rare.

Where does Royal Flush rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I can't really rank Royal Flush...I've listened to way too many. But, the Royal Spyness series is great fun. The books are all light-hearted murder mysteries with fun characters. There is just enough twist in the plots to keep the reader guessing about Who Done It!

Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Katherine Kellgren's voice is wonderful to listen to. She varies her characters that the reader recognizes each one early into the books. A great narrator!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed at all of these books! They are easy listening and great fun.
