Welcome to Hell. Literally. The Hell where the Prince of Darkness is hotter than Hades, Hell Hounds smell like brownies, and the Seven Deadly Sins are addicted to Facebook.... Not to mention the soundtrack in the Underworld is Journey. For real. I should have known no good could come from offing my parents in the space of 20 minutes no matter how psychotic and evil they were....

People aren't born monsters. They're made that way. They're created, fueled by one singular moment in time when their universe shatters. I'd been with Dornan Ross for the better part of a decade. Slept in his bed, sewn up his wounds, tasted his blood, seen inside his soul. But even I wasn't prepared for what he did. I should have known it would always come down to this, from the very moment I laid eyes on him in that motel.

I finished this book a few days ago. I still cannot get it out of my head. This was an amazing end to a great series. I have not read the Gypsy Brothers series because it is not on audio. However, after reading this series I think I might have read with my eyes. The ending was dark, violent, and twisted. So if that is not you thing you might have a hard time reading this one. I got completely pulled in to the story. I hope that the Gypsy Brothers series become available on audible. This book will go on my fave list for 2017. The narration was great. Empire is a must read.

This was a great read. All your fave characters for the HON series are in this new book. There were a few surprises when it comes to characters. Overall, I feel that this book was one of the best book in the series so far. I been a HON for a while and there were a few books that I did not love. However, if the Cast crew keep creating works like this one I look forward to reading the HON series for years to come. Reading this book was like visiting with a old friend that you had forgot about. I loved this book more than brown pop. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

White bought it again with Now I Rise. 2017 is not over yet but this was one of the best book I read this year. Lada and Radu really grew in this book. Both faced a lot of challenges and a few realizations about their situations. I also like the fact that White provided some definitions and some explications at end of the book to provide some historical context. Although, this is a work of historical fiction the author does a great job with keeping the facts straight. Also the ending was so freaking good. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Sirenz is a cute tale of two girls that stated of as frenemies and over time they become true friends. Meg and Shar are completely opposite. Meg is a Goth girl and Shar is a queen of fashion. The two are dorm mates and because of some crazy circumstances the two enter into an employment contract with the lord of the underworld Hades.

This story was really funny. I enjoyed the book from the start to the end; it was a real lighthearted tale of friendship. Both Meg and Shar started off with preconceived views of each other, but they grew and learned to understand what it means to be friends.

The book has Greek mythological characters besides Hades, but these characters do not out shadow Meg and Shar. Sirenz goes beyond just another YA paranormal story. This book added something special to already crowded universe. Also like that fact the story kept a good pace and was not to long. Moreover, the authors did a great job with building and explaining the Greek myths. Lastly, the narrator did a great job with the many different characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

Would you try another book from Susan Griscom and/or Shelley Baldiga?

Yes,Whisper Cape is a good addition to the already diverse world of paranormal fiction.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cael was my favorite character. I found his character to be very interesting. He comes off as man whore with a heart of gold.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes

Did Whisper Cape, Book 1 inspire you to do anything?

No

Any additional comments?

Whisper Cape is another addition to the already diverse world of paranormal fiction. My first impression of this book was that it was going to be something different. Which is one of the reasons why I was interested in reading this book. Whisper Cape, adds something new to the very crowded paranormal fiction universe. In many ways this book is different. First, the characters in this book are unlike any of your typical supernaturals. There are no vampires, werewolves, and demons. Addison is a twenty something young lady living and working after the death of her father. She decided to move back to the hometown were she was born. When a new guy comes to town some crazy stuff began to happen. I found that these supernaturals in this book are very interesting. And the mystery aspect of this book was atypical. But the romance aspect I did not enjoy, this was your typical paranormal fiction romance. Lonely girl that falls for the hot jerk. Of course she find out that she special in some way, and this guy help her walk into her destiny. The story started off really slow but picked up after the 2nd chapter. Addison’s character grew on me, but I never really identified with her. Overall, I feel that she had some positive growth through out the book. But at time she came off a bit immature. I really like the fact that she is a trust fund baby that wanted to make her own way in the world. As for Cael, if found his character to be very interesting, but at sometimes a bit to complex. He comes off as man whore with a heart of gold. I liked him, but I feel like Cael was your typical bad boy that turns out not to be that bad. I wished that the author had flushed out his inner workings a little bit. There was not much world building with Whisper Cape, which was a good thing. I feel that this book was a strong paranormal mystery. Overall, this was an interesting read. I enjoyed the mystery aspect and the unique supernatural creatures. However, the romance was a sappy at times.

Really interesting book. The audio production of this book was really different with the music at the end of ever chapter. At first I thought it was kinda annoying but it grows on you. Also Shecter uses the different spelling for the names some of the the main characters. So check out the reference guide before you start the book. Overall, a good listen.

Chicks are awesome - and never more so than when they are kicking some serious vampire/werewolf/demon/monster butt. Chicks Kick Butt is an anthology that features one of the best things about the urban fantasy genre: strong, independent, and intelligent heroines who are quite capable of solving their own problems and slaying their own dragons (or demons, as the case may be).
