A generous sampling, collected here for the first time and including works as diverse as scholarly art criticism and some decidedly untypical country music lyrics, Wild Ducks Flying Backward offers a rare sweeping overview of the eclectic sensibility of an American original.

Tom Robbins is the Dream of How America Should Be

5 out of 5 stars

I love this book and I especially love the narration... who could read and convey the nuances and the blindly obvious better than Tom Robbins himself. Tom Robbins is the spirit America never should have lost. Buy it, read it...listen again, learn to think and wonder!

Following the best-selling triumph of Kafka on the Shore ("daringly original," wrote Steven Moore in The Washington Post's Book World, "and compulsively readable") comes a collection that generously expresses Murakami's mastery. From the surreal to the mundane, these stories exhibit his ability to transform the full range of human experience in ways that are instructive, surprising, and relentlessly entertaining.

Great Book Bad Narration

2 out of 5 stars

Loved the stories and had no problem with the female narrator, but the male narrator reminded me of some dumb jock who's forced to read aloud for the class, no feeling or understanding just getting through it.
