I was drawn in immediately and could hardly put it down. didn't think I'd like a period piece, but done well with great characters and their distinct development made it a page turner. enjoyed it thoroughly.

Having grown up with the bomb and an exchange student living with us from that area and era, it is quite fascinating and macabre to hear the accounts of what happened in the ground zeros and follow different lives afterward even up to the twin towers. it's a shame the US made it illegal to document these for so many years.

I turned it off and left it a couple of times and mulled over it thinking it was a good candidate for exchange.
I finally realized that while it's author was addressing women and shame versus other emotions, it dawned on me that the book could open doors on relationships of all types.
great study and read it twice; very interesting and gave me insights to me, my friends and strangers on the street.

Most of what I read are more cops n robbers: murders & international intrigue. I forget unsolved mysteries and meyhem r ist in many lives.
Excellent book describing just such instances from an ordinary life to extraordinary circumstances that brought everyone to where they are. An awakening as to what could be going on next door.
