Twenty years ago America Singer entered the Selection and won Prince Maxon's heart. Now the time has come for Princess Eadlyn to hold a Selection of her own. Eadlyn doesn't expect her Selection to be anything like her parents' fairy-tale love story...but as the competition begins, she may discover that finding her own happily ever after isn't as impossible as she's always thought.

I was surprised when I saw another Selection book was out. I didn't have extremely high expectations since it is a 4th in a series and takes place years later. I do like that Eadlyn is certainly her own character, but I don't really like her. She's stuck up and spoiled. That got rather annoying. The end leaves you a bit hopeful that she will be a little more tolerable in the next book. I'm sure I'll read it, but I'm not holding my breath...

Welcome to a safe and secure new world, where beauty is bought and sold, and freedom is the ultimate crime. The Registry saved the country from collapse, but stability has come at a price. In this patriotic new America, girls are raised to be brides, sold at auction to the highest bidder. Nearly 18, beautiful Mia Morrissey excitedly awaits the beginning of her auction year. But a warning from her married older sister raises dangerous questions. Now, instead of going up on the block, Mia is going to escape to Mexico - and the promise of freedom.

There was just something missing. I can't put my finger on it per say, but compared to other books in the same genre, it just falls short. I really love the concept but I'm not sure I'll continue the series.

I loved this! It was pretty funny. I'd listen to it again. Maybe I'll even listen to the whole book!
