The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together. And I don’t mean any of that figuratively. No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker - my physical therapist - I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit. She said she’d been assigned to fix me. But what I didn’t know...what I couldn’t possibly know...was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

Matthew "Wolf" Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn't have to do it very often. He'd been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.

From the first moment I see Mason Boone, I can't take my eyes off him. Everyone's got a different story about the gorgeous, silent man in chains. He's a hero, a former Navy SEAL. He's a fugitive, on his way to a court martial. He's a loner, a mountain man who hasn't spoken to another soul in years. But when our plane crashes deep in the Alaskan wilderness, he becomes my only hope. I'm an FBI agent and he's a prisoner, but to survive the wild animals, fierce weather, and unforgiving terrain, I must put my faith in him.

It is a interesting book, well written.
There are some situations that sounds a bit unrealistic but overall everything, that happen in the book, seems possible for a Seal and an Fbi agent, they have trainings that common people do not have.

Ella knows she has problems and love doesn't win everything at first. I like that.
Even if there are chapters written from Cinder point of view I thinks there isn't a very dept description of him. I couldn't get to know him very well and that is why I didn't put 5 stars.

I couldn't enjoy very much that much darkness. I like the book but I do not believe I will read/listen it again...
