Excellent narrator. The story line is wonderful, considering the era and all the issues attached to it, war, hunger, antisemitism, etc. the delicate issues are treated gracefully, which makes listening possible. To think that during a time of loss, hope and a brighter future can be felt.

Excellent reading, comical and informative. I hate writing long reviews, I've recommended this book to many. I enjoyed the positive view on functional autism, and the point of view of the main character. I could see myself and many persons reflected in don. Funny and delightful.

Absolutely loved this audio. You could feel every emotion, every word the author was describing and transmitting to the reader! Vivacious audio and to think she is 80 years old! She has been a role modal to many Latinas and sharing her story makes it ever so real ! Her story is wonderful! Not to long, just perfect!!!
