The instant Captain Declan Frobisher lays eyes on Lady Edwina Delbraith, he knows she's the woman he wants as his wife. The scion of a seafaring dynasty accustomed to success, he discovers that wooing Edwina is surprisingly straightforward - not least because she makes it plain that she wants him as much as he wants her.

This was an enjoyable book. I found the narrator to be okay. I have heard better as well as so much worse. I am glad that I have listened to Ms. Laurens’ other series first, as this is sort of a continuation from the others.

What would you give up for everything? Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, and sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed. He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

This was a good story but I had a bit of trouble with the narrator. She sounded like she either had a head-cold or was wearing a headset that pilots wear that distorts certain sounds. Plus, she didn’t change her voice much between the characters. I wish there was a male narrator for the entire book. I will continue with the series.

Josephine: It was the worst blind date in the history of the universe, until Holden Winters swept in and rescued me. Are you kidding? Holden Winters? A scion of the notorious Winters family, Holden is gorgeous, wealthy, and brilliant. He dates socialites and pop stars, not computer science grad students more comfortable in a hoodie than couture. Our night together was a fantasy...and a huge mistake.

So yeah, my dad is a rock star; he's the drummer for OtherWorld. And Lucy was and always will be the only girl to ever know the real me. She was my best friend, my voice of reason. My sanity. Maybe she outgrew me. But I will never outgrow her. It's been years since I've seen her, and I miss her so damn bad. All I want is a chance to get back what we've lost, to have my best friend in my life again. I wasn't counting on how grown-up my friend might have gotten, how beautiful she is now.

I am so glad to finally get to Lucy & Harris’ story. The story is good, but these are just he wrong narrators. The male narrator is good, except for his female whiny voice. The female is just all wrong. She sounds too slow, even at 1.25 speed, plus she sounds too old for being a teenager. I guess I will grit my teeth so I can make it through the rest of the series.

I haven't seen that girl in seventeen years, and I've missed her every damn day. I knew I wasn't good enough for her, so the night before I left with my bandbrothers for California, I stole a night with her. I lived off those memories. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I haven't wanted to talk to her just one more time, but I knew she deserved a better man than me. Now, after seeing her again, I realize that I didn't care if she should have a better man. My feelings were still as strong as they have ever been for her. I wanted to be with her. But she hated the very sight of me.

From the moment I set eyes on that brown eyed, little Italian rock goddess I knew she was meant for me. But my life was too messed up to give her what she needed. So I pushed her away - right into the arms of my band's front man - only to regret it the second I saw them together. The moment they were over I tried to clean up my act and chased after that girl until she was mine. But like always, I let my demons screw with my head and went looking for my next fix.

The story was good. Why was the narrator of the previous 9 books changed? This narrator sounded more like a bored SoCal valley girl than anything else. There was absolutely no Italian accent whatsoever. I had to listen at 1.25 speed just to get through this book. The producer should have sought out a better narrator that could do the accents.
