Would you listen to The Mysterious Doll again? Why?

Yes! The narrator does a wonderful job and keeps the story alive. She makes it feel like you are watching the book through your eyes.

What about Diane Lehman’s performance did you like?

She did a wonderful job with all of the voices and keeping the readers attention.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the twist at the end, I didn't see it coming. I also loved the very end with Amelia and Rick on the beach.

Any additional comments?

I love the Amelia Moore Detective series. I was interested to see that this book was going to stay in the States, as most of her other books in this series had taken its readers all over from Bali to Ireland and even Mexico. This book was a local mystery that took them to Denver and all over Colorado. While in Colorado they stayed in a haunted hotel and went to an awesome car show. Not only do these books have great cozy stories, they also take you all over the world. Amelia and Rick, her partner, take on a case of the Missing Doll from a local museum. When an employee goes missing at the same time, they are hired by his girlfriend to find him and prove his innocence. Also, Amelia and Rick's relationship starts to flourish more and more as they find out more about each other. I can't wait to read the next one!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! This is such a great little story about Amelia Moore and her case to find a missing nephew who is supposed to inherit his uncles fortune so that he can keep his uncle's legacy alive through orphanages that he has built in Mexico. It's a great cozy read!

What did you like best about this story?

I love the easy and light romantic relationship that is between Amelia and her partner Rick. I also love the trouble they get into.

What does Diane Lehman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does a wonderful job narrating, she really makes the voices of the characters come alive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure! It was short enough that anyone can read in one sitting or on a short car ride. It didn't get too deep into too much explanation where it needed hours of set up and it was enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

In this third book in the Amelia Moore Detective series, Amelia and Rick are hired to find a missing cousin who is set to inherit money to keep a couple of his uncle’s orphanages afloat. As always, I love this mystery series because it is so light, fun and cozy. I love the relationship between Amelia and her partner Rick, it is very clean and makes the story a little more fun to see the flirtation between the two. For this case they had to travel to Mexico where the trip started out great but then turned ugly. There’s always someone who wants to stop Amelia from finding out the truth and of course this time there’s no exception. There are a few surprises along the way that keep the reader on their toes like trying to find out who hired the muscle to find them. It is definitely a read if you are looking for something lighthearted and cozy.

Yes! The story line and narrator are great. Its a nice lighthearted cozy mystery that is a short read but leaves you glad you read it.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It didn't give me anxiety, which is good, but I did like seeing where the story lead. When Amelia had a theory she wouldn't tell Rick, I was wondering what it could be and left me thinking. I had finally figured it out by the time it was revealed. I thought it was a great ending.

What about Diane Lehman’s performance did you like?

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reaction, but I do love the characters and love watching their relationship flourish. I can't wait to see how they end up.

If you could sum up Back to Christmas in three words, what would they be?

Cute must read

What was one of the most memorable moments of Back to Christmas?

Realizing how much we do relying on technology and how we are missing out on quality family time.

What about Ralph Lister’s performance did you like?

He was amazing! He did a wonderful job with the voices and giving them all different personalities.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions besides loving it : )

Any additional comments?

I received a free audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am so grateful that I was able to listen to this book because I thought it was the cutest Christmas story. I loved the characters, (we all know someone who is grumpy around this time of year), and the story line. Since I was able to listen to the book, I wanted to complement the narrator on such a wonderful job. His voice for the characters transported me into this vision the author created. Back to the storyline, I loved the idea of Reverse Santa, where he takes things away from people in hopes of getting them on the NICE list, ex: cell phones, game consoles. Also, I loved the idea of flying penguins instead of the flying reindeer. I really enjoyed the author’s creativity and how the storyline came together. This is a must read for the holidays if you are looking for a great short story.
