For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

I liked the story line. it had good continuity and realistic attributes. I did not necessarily like the narrator, I felt she was too dramatic, and sometimes that got in the way of the story.

What disappointed you about Terri?

I tried to get engaged to the characters, but she introduced so many at once it was hard to keep them straight. It was almost like 2 stories going on at once without a clear indication of when you were in the other story. I just couldn't complete it, it was too mundane.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sharon Srock again?

Probably not.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Laura Jennings?

The narrator was not the problem.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

An inside look at an aging woman desiring children and the workings of the foster child system.

Posey Osterhagen can't complain. She owns a successful architectural salvaging company, she's surrounded by her lovable, if off-center, family, and she has a boyfriend-sort of. Still, something's missing. Something tall, brooding and criminally good-looking - something like Liam Murphy. When Posey was 16, the bad boy of Bellsford, New Hampshire, broke her heart. But now he's back, sending Posey's traitorous schoolgirl heart into overdrive once again.
