Plagued by a war between magic and technology, Atlanta has never been so deadly. Good thing Kate Daniels is on the job. Kate Daniels may have quit the Order of Merciful Aid, but she's still knee-deep in paranormal problems. Or she would be if she could get someone to hire her. Starting her own business has been more challenging than she thought it would be - now that the Order is disparaging her good name, and many potential clients are afraid of getting on the bad side of the Beast Lord, who just happens to be Kate's mate.

Great book and performance, a little quiet in one spot but that is because the characters were whispering. Some good highs and some tear jerking lows in this story. It still has some comedy but it is a much more serious book.

I did like this story but it is a lot more strait forward the many of the other books in this series. Most of the books have a bit more going on and don't get me wrong it is still good, but it's more of a launch point for the next book rather then being a self contained story.

Human laws do not apply in the territory controlled by the Others - vampires, shape-shifters, and paranormal beings even more deadly. And this is a fact that humans should never, ever forget.... After her divorce, Vicki DeVine took over a rustic resort near Lake Silence - in a human town that is not human controlled. Towns like Vicki's have no distance from the Others, the dominant predators that rule most of the land and all of the water throughout the world. And when a place has no boundaries, you never really know what's out there watching you.

Really the only drawback on this book is that it has nothing to do with Lakeside. it does have a few references back too Meg and the female pack but they do not take part in this book. This is still an enjoyable listen if you liked the others.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

This story is great and the only this that makes it better is having Wil Wheaton read it. I wonder how many takes it took when he had to talk about himself in the book without laughing.

It's a good book but some parts of the story might be a little hard to get through for the squeamish. Unfortunately a lot of the voices are mostly either female or little girls and boys. It seems very hard for the narrator to play them all.

The Pemkowet Visitors Bureau has always promoted paranormal tourism - even if it has downplayed the risks (hobgoblins are unpredictable). It helps that the town is presided over by Daisy Johanssen, who as Hel’s liaison is authorized by the Norse goddess of the dead to keep Pemkowet under control. Normally, that’s easier to do in the winter, when bracing temperatures keep folks indoors. But a new predator is on the prowl, and this one thrives on nightmares.

Honestly the worst thing about this book is that is ends the series, and I was kind of hoping for a few more.

Most if not all of the plot lines are neatly tied up, leaving very little room for another book without resorting to a large time jump.

I can't say much more without spoilers but I think this series of books would translate well into movies if you can get the rights to reference all the other movie she talks about.
