Alyson McLayne really is a very talented author who does a great job in telling a good story and in developing interesting characters. Rosalyn Landor is the perfect narrator for AM's books....she does Scottish accents very well. In this particular story there was a perfect blend of heroes and bad guys....and sex. This my second McLayne book....but will not be my last.

Even though I'm a huge fan of MB...and RL.....this book is soooooooooooooo had to stomach. Rachel is a whining, difficult woman who was allowed to whine for WAYYYYYY to long. I finally gave it up at chapter 12. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
While I've read/listened to all the books in the Slightly series many many times, I now know why this is the books I save for LASTTTTTTTTTTT. Sorry.....am just too fed up with Rachel to be objective.

BUT her character voices in this book were amazingly well done. Jack's voice was especially appealing to me. LK is a very talented author who draws readers/listeners into the story and holds us there. Thank you, LK....and thank you Beverley Crick. I can't wait for the next collaboration of these two talented ladies.
