This is a closed island/mansion story that echoes classic mysteries of the past. Harper really shines in this installment as the others take more of a backseat. She goes through some serious introspection and grows as a character. I will listen to it again, which is rare for me.

Very early Nora story. I wish it were longer. I love both main characters. Great listen.

Molly Harper is delightful and so is Amanda Ronconi. I cannot wait till the dragon-phoenix is born.

One of my favorite series! The 3 recorded books are excellent: the mysteries are complex and the lead characters are real-a not-so-beautiful but amazing heroine and a physically depleted hero who is super smart and gentle who was injured in Afghanistan. There is humor and genuine feels in the books. Listen in order! There is a 4th book on Amazon that has never been recorded because the publishing company closed. Loretta Ross is super-talented and I hope another company has discovered her. (She says on her FB page that she is a produce stocker at Walmart. She is so talented; she needs to be writing full time.) Amanda Ronconi! A+!

I cannot say when I have enjoyed a series more. I have listened to all 3 books and love these characters. The mysteries are much more complex than I often find in cozies. Bravo! They are funny, romantic, full of family feelings, and the heroine is not the typical one found in these kinds of stories. She is not so beautiful physically but her spirit and mind are exceptional. There is a 4th book available on Amazon as unfortunately the author's company went under and the 4th will not be on audio. Surely Loretta Ross can find another company to publish her excellent series (I read on her Facebook page she is a produce stocker at Walmart; of course there is nothing wrong with that but I hope she is discovered by another company and can focus only on writing and that Audible will do more of these books with the always-great Amanda Ronconi!)

This is definitely one of the better cozy series out there. The heroine, Wren, is completely likeable, smart, clever, funny, humble. She is described as pretty but not gorgeous. Her attitude though makes her more beautiful than her would-be rival who looks like a supermodel. The hero is named Death (pronounced Deeth) and he is a homeless war veteran with serious lung issues due to his service, yet he is such a gentleman and super smart. When they meet, they change each other's worlds in the best way possible. The mysteries are a step above in interest, plotting, and complexity, with humor, pathos, and a great cast of extras (especially the family who owns the auction business). There are three books recorded, and a 4th book in print or on Kindle (the author's publishing company went under). She says a 5th book is coming. If Ross cannot find a publisher for this series, something is wrong with the book world of cozy mysteries. These are EXCELLENT! And Amanda Ronconi as the reader? A+!

This is clearly an early story with lots of family-friendly romance. It reminds me of the later series by Kristin Painter-Nocturne Falls. I liked it!

This is a suspense story that reminds me of Barbara Michaels’ stories. A good series ending though the author plans crosdovers iwith her other series. The romance is sweet too.
