Gratitude of caring and seeing the whole picture is not an easy journey

Overall
4 out of 5 stars

Reading about an experience and living in the reality of it cannot be fully understood in comparison. I cannot imagine the ups and downs of having the strength and love to endure such a challenge and loving devotion of a family. Autism - such a world to live in never to be understood by the norm of defined acceptance. I admire what this family stood up to. The honest sharing of the difficult endless challenges of raising an autistic child is by no means, I gather from this book any different than speaking languages under one roof, and never understanding what each is trying to convey. To face day after day is exhaustion that can only be achieved by love and protection of loved ones to the world. My view point of behavior needs of autistic persons is like standing up to world. Well written to share your inner and outer thoughts. Count your blessings and reach out to those who could use a helping hand, words of kindness. After reading your book I am so much more aware walking in another's shoes and seeing the world through their eyes.

For Mrs Obama to share her thoughts so open and honest, proved how sincere and powerful her receipts of life meant and felt like to get entire family and all that surrounded her journey. I am so proud to witness the using of the front door, and not being looked at unworthy to enter makes me smile to this day. Way to go Obama family. WOW to the America that has moved on to acceptance. For those who have not - well a change has come to be recognized
